[Kieran Gill] It is suggested internally at Chelsea that the team has a mentality and resilience issue and it is expected that Chelsea will target experience this summer – players who are proven in the Premier League.

Hope they mean the last sentence, and not just signing someone who spent their summer holidays at Brighton once etc.

  2. Like I said before, these briefings do not explain what the plan is for the rest of the season. Are we just going to lose all games left and focus on Summer reinforcement? What is the solution for now?

  3. More briefings that cost them nothing and have nothing to do with reality. Look at what they do, not what they say.

Welcome news, but we have so much to play for this season. It all feels very suspect that the briefings sound like the club have given up on the season already.

  5. Then BlueCo will claim the best we can do is someone who spent half a season at Brighton

Not us the club need to be telling though, is it?

It’s the squad members who looked utterly fucked off with the whole shit-show at the moment.

If players aren’t convinced we could see a few of them wanting out.

This kind of statement illustrates not the desire for change, but the severe lack of introspection to prevent the issue in the first place.

Seems to be a fundamental lack of proactivity, frankly.

    Gate, horse, bolt, etc.

  7. At least they’re changing their targeting process, even if they are dressing it up as not something the fans have been calling out for years

  8. From an 8th or 10th place finish that will attract a certain kind of experienced player…

This is routine PR they do when we start losing too much. They say they’ll get proven Prem players but they’re still out there bidding for /showing interest in young inexperienced players.

They’ve conditioned me not to trust them.

  10. Almost like the thing everyone said would happen is happening. Feels like BlueCo took a chance on signing all these young players and hoping they would gel, now that everything is collapsing they are panicking and going for experience (or fake signaling they will to appease fans).

  11. And the experience prem player is *drum roll*

Valentin Barco with 5 games played for Brighton. HERE WE GO
