  1. Let’s see how this week goes. Will the boys and the manager give a proper response after the humiliation last week or will they show up like cowards? There’s already enough motivation for them to turn up.

I get that we’re inexcusably shit, but boy would I like to be able to go out and buy me some shiny new toys every January.

It’s especially tiring when you see City’s recent signings do the business for them every game even though these players would not have joined (or been allowed to join) City had we got even a reasonably fair and swift resolution to the 115+ charges.

  3. Mahoganychicken on

Things will get very messy if we go out of the UCL and lose to City. Plus side, it would be far easier to get tickets.

  4. -Azwethinkweiz- on

Still think we’ll win it. Even if City win at the weekend. Would rather have our fixtures.

But we desperately need Saka and Odegaard back to make sure we do our bit.

  5. Positives:

Spurs finally in the relegation zone

Chelsea missing out on CL could destroy them financially

    Negatives:

    Virtually everything else

  6. Imagine the headloss if City go on to win the domestic treble? I’ll be taking a break next season.

  7. ThePlainWhiteTees on

Vibes are so absolutely shit rn that it really doesn’t feel like the gap is wider now than it was 5 games ago lol

  8. jellosbiafra on

I’m right back at it again and ready to get hurt next week. If only ted lasso was a real consultant we could bring in right now.

    Be a goldfish

    I see the vision.

In the summer we sign Gordon, start him and Dowman to win a shit ton of fouls.

Then Gordon or Gyokeres can stat pad to win us games.

We sign Alvarez to score free kicks won from those fouls outside of the box.

We also unleash our secret weapon Norgaard who has a glorious way of scoring from set pieces.

Finally, we extend Arteta. As he is already the 3rd best paid manager in football, we would probably need to make him the best paid/equal with Simeone.

Might also need to name the stadium after him to seal the deal, call it Teta’s Fortress.

    Then we win the league.

  10. Chelshit fans celebrating their loss against man city. Pls Arsenal let’s win the league.

  11. I’ll never understand the hate we go through as Arsenal fans… I really hope we win this shit especially cause Cherki just pisses me off

    My thoughts for the week.

Atletico won in CL and then lost in the league, we did the same.

Chelsea was wasteful but could have been 2-0 up in the first half. This end of the season is going about being ruthless

Injuries have been our biggest obstacle this season, not performances, tactics or individuals. You can’t control them, we have been very unlucky and its not worth dwelling over

r/soccer is now officially just the little brother of soccercirclejerk, there is nothing of value there anymore. The mods should be ashamed of how much their sub has degraded

We are going to win 2-0 against sporting

I wish people on this sub actually talked about Arsenal and not repeated media and twitter nonsense takes about mentality, or whether arteta should be in or out depending on certain results. Leave that to 15 year olds on twitter and the unpaid writting staff of the bbc. We should be discussing things like which full back should invert, why our high press has been less of a unit recently, should we try more long shots, or continue passing looking for through balls as we have recently. Should we be more risky in fast transitions, or try and fall back on longer posessions phases like we had in 22/23.

Like those conversations are worth having, debating whether arteta has mentality or not is pretty dumb and wont get you anywhere, might as well read your horoscope or tea leaves if that is how far you are willing to look at the game

  13. Lineup against sporting:

    Jesus

    Trossard Dowman Madueke

    Zubimendi Norgaard

    MLS Mosquera White Salmon

    Kepa

    Lineup against City:

    Havertz

    Martinelli Eze Odegaard Saka

    Rice

    Calafiori Gabriel Saliba Timber

    Raya

If odegaard and saka aren’t fit then replace them with dowman. If Timber isn’t fit god help us all. Getting knocked out against sporting is the best case scenario

  14. Enjoyed Elliot’s little rant about “unserious” players on the new ArsenalVision podcast (even if it made me a little angry again). Yes, the manager deserves all the blame that comes his way, but £50+ million players running the ball out of play, or missing free headers off their shoulders, or passing straight to the opposition under zero pressure, or not feeling like tracking a runner early in the opening minutes is absolutely pathetic. Not to single out Kai Havertz, but he’ll earn more this week than I will in the next decade. They make one feel like a complete and utter idiot for caring.

  15. Ok-Cucumber-5136 on

A lot of the fanbase were thinking the result of the Cup final wouldn’t impact the league, as it was just a one off game.

But looking at form post cup final and before is this the driving factor or just a coincidence?

  16. voicemail4dem on

I better not see some of you celebrating *if* Mikel wins us the league. I’ve got receipts.

  17. We’ve been riding our luck in the PL for awhile. Results are starting to catch up with us

  18. Spiritual-Let-9904 on

I wish we tried to go after Bruno Fernandes. All the cards were there for a reverse RVP.

  19. Anybody else feeling positive today!

Big week. Lets put Sporting to the sword and walk out with our head held and shoulders back at The Etihad. It is all still very much there for us!

  20. Gonna be blasting Love Sosa by Chief Keef all week. Cause I’m convincing myself that Arsenal is gonna shock everyone by going into Etihad and absolutely smack City in front of their plastic fans. From Rodri’s “different mentality” comments, Bernardo Silva “zero” hand gesture. Haaland be humble incident to Cherki showboating in the Carabo Cup Final. Time to shut it down. No more of these clowns.

  21. Effective-Paint-7097 on

this is the week where a reaction is needed from the players and manager. a big one. losing three domestic games in a row playing like shit, fumbling going 12 pts clear, fans booing at the emirates and more abuse towards arsenal fans than ever online . . . big statement needed. if they don’t, we’re in more trouble than i thought

  22. At least the positive thing is that its still entirely in our hands even with a loss to City. We have a good potential route to the CL final and our fixtures after the City game are not bad. The way we play and our form is bad but we should be able to squeeze out a trophy from our remaining games 🙏

  23. Rio Ngumoha should have been booked for diving. PGMOL doesn’t do enough to combat this disease in our sport.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

  24. Should we have been the ones who spent the 150m for Isak? High risk high reward but 1 superstar is worth like 10 squad players. Don’t sign madueke, get a cheaper option than eze and bet everything on Isak instead of gyokeres, I wonder how that would’ve worked out

  25. UnquenchedMammoth356 on

Let’s not paper over the cracks,

our attacking recruitment had been utterly shambolic over the past 7 years, and we’ve basically been reliant on an academy player, a player we brought in for cheap from the brasilian 2nd division and a signing that happened just because Chelsea overpaid for our priority signing.

The last great attacker we’ve signed was Aubameyang under Wenger.

Even Havertz was brought in originally as a midfielder.

Whoever is responsible for scouting attackers should have his contract terminated

  26. The only thing I can empathise with Mikel is losing Eze, Ode, Timber and Saka altogether. Has absolutely sucked our creativity overnight.

But his solution of starting Gyokeres and Havertz as a fix in their absence has obviously not worked out and if he doesn’t wake up to it now, we’re gonna be embarrased at the end of the season.

Bench Gyokeres, he just isn’t it unless we build a technical team around him.

He needs to come off the bench. The bigger elephant in the room is Zubimendi, who just isn’t mentally or physically at it anymore. If Ode and Eze can start, he needs to hold the bench as well. It’s on Mikel to be bold.

Mikel has 6 weeks to show whether he’s Brendan Rodgers or Jurgen Klopp. That’s all. Same for the rest of the squad, they’ll be showing if they’re Pochettino’s Spurs or Klopp’s Liverpool.

  27. we need to win this league and photoshop a massive c*ck in that city fan’s hands

  28. Fine_Leather7548 on

Think people are worrying too much about recent results. We haven’t looked great recently but our lineups have been nowhere near our best level. It’s not just that these players are better but the backups can’t rotate and get fresh either. Also Liverpool could have been 2-0 against City in the first part of the game and Chelsea got thumped by Everton 3-0, City haven’t been that special. If you wanna doom and gloom now then I get it, but I for one will wait until after the City game and hope we can get some players back fit

  29. I love this club for 20+ years as an overseas supporter, I have never visited England and it has always been my dream to watch the club live in a competitive match. I got lucky to watch few exhibition match live in country, which is good enough for me.

My biggest heartache for Arsenal is the CL loss to Barcelona, i was really sad for the few days and i think i shed a few tears after the whistle.

Right now, its feels really miserable because of recent result and form. I struggle to find any more positivity for this team. If there is one redeeming point, I always felt the away gooners are top top class and maybe more than ever, we need them to make Noise and show their support. It wont be easy doing so but if you are a match going gooner i hope you can make a louder noise on behalf of Gooners all over the world. Thank you for trying to bring back Vibe and hopefully this weekend result will Favor us.

And for other Fans, is there a really a need to discuss what should happen this offseason? It’s the final stretch of games, whatever happen will happen after the season conclude, we can always leave the discussion there but its just really my 2 cents and it probably wont stop people commenting off season stuff.

    COYG!!!!!
