honestly couldn’t believe how defeated the Spurs players looked at full time. Heads completely gone. I know people look upset after a loss, but this was different, they look depressed, desperate and broken.
Xavi looked like he was holding back tears.
People have said for a while they don’t have the fight for a relegation scrap. I never fully bought into it, but after seeing that, I’m starting to.
Meanwhile we’re on the up, with players who not only have the fight but know what it takes in these situations. From my understanding, they have 0 players who have been in this situation.
That could be massive for us.

and Sunderland weren’t even particularly great against them
Also their goalie situation.. i’m a Czech and Kinsky is also so i have sympathy for that lad. He made terrible appearance in Madrid (0-3 after 17 minutes) but Tudor didn’t let him play in the second leg of the UCL match which could have helped him to regain some confidence back.
I see this as crucial point now. Vicario was there most of the season, Kinsky played after ages made terrible mistakes and then benched again. Now he is thrown to the fire again…
But of fourse i couldn’t care less about Spurs. I like Kinsky but WHU is much more important to me!!
They are a very poor team. When we beat them in January I thought they were the worst we’ve played all season. Only Burnley are close. By way of reference, Wolves have won three times as many points as Tottenham in 2026.
They have a tough game next up against Brighton, who are in great form and chasing a European place. If they lose that, which is likely on current form, I struggle to see a way back for them. Us, Forest and Leeds are all playing bottom seven teams that same weekend and so they could be seriously adrift of everyone.
Xavi always looks like he’s holding back tears imho
To be fair tho, as a Dutchie I have seen much of Xavi, and he always looks on the verge of crying…
