I just saw Beto’s goal on telly after being at the game. I’m really pleased that no foul was given, too many ridiculous fouls these days where the opposing player is just looming for it, O’Brien wasn’t doing anything to merit a foul.

Sunderland vs Tottenham is a win win.
Sunderland win and it’s just funny to see spurs fans meltdown.
Spurs win and it’s one less team to worry about for the push for Europe

For reasons that are unclear to me Opta liked the look of our performance against Brentford enough to put us above them into seventh on the projected points table, even though we lost on xG. Have to assume this is down to the fixture list ahead of us: our opponents are on 257 points and theirs are on 283. Still both have to play West Ham, City, Liverpool and Palace but we have Sunderland and Spurs where they have United and Fulham.
Didn’t like seeing Brighton win either, especially since they decided to switch over to that match SIX TIMES during our game yesterday.

Btw, having a striker that slots litteraly any shot he takes is the absolute cheat code to make it to Europe. This Brentford team with our strikers that miss most of their chances wouldn’t be in the top 10. Hell, they wouldn’t have got 4 points against us without Thiago scoring 5 in 2 fucking games.
Ultimately, having rolls royce players as KDH, Ndiaye, Grealish, Branthwaite, Garner weighs as much as having just one really good striker for the table. Last time we had Europe or went to a level that could have get Europe we also had a striker that would bury them all. This needs to be a top priority.
