Gyokeres on loss to Bournemouth “They made it difficult for us, and I think we made it difficult for ourselves during the game, so that’s why the end result is what it is.”
Iraola philosophy feels like Kryptonite to us we struggled against him since he beacome manager

Bourmouth was playing with intention and identity on what they wanted to accomplish. Meanwhile, we seem lost in that sense.
We are way too deep and too thin on margin to make a massive change, and we do not have much answer with status quo.

Can’t fault him today. Him and Rice are the only two that tried.

Great penalty taker but he’s a shocking footballer unfortunately. The Mokbel article that effectively says we’re going into next season with Gyokores and Havertz as our strikers is a joke.
His ball striking is overrated as well, and it’s meant to be his best attribute. He needs time to settle himself for a shot and rarely shows any instinctive finish. Today at the end he had a chance to strike the ball with his left but he chooses to get it onto his right and the opportunity is basically gone. Him, Martinelli, Odegaard are far too predictable. They have no ability with their weak foot and only have 1 finish in their locker

That chance he had at the end was why he was brought in. Why the extra touches?

As bad as this feels, if we win the next league game, it’s done. I know it’s a big if.

he was one of the few players who actually gave a toss out there
cant fault his mentality whatsoever

Supporters, this man is not the reason we currently stink.

We’re no longer able to just write this sort of game off and hope they boys are more up for it next match
There are glaring deficiencies with our attack from open play

Loving the honestly from Gyokeres…

He also said in an interview the pitch was dry. How’s the carpet, when it’s been raining as well, dry?
Fwiw Gyokeres is low down in the list of reasons we lost today.

We can’t keep carrying a striker that’s not involved in the game until the end of the phase of play. You can’t keep asking the team to carry him all game. People complain about buildup but don’t want to see he brings nothing to the team. Hold up play, winning headers, duels, or passing? Not available. Hitting the ball hard, sure thing. He’s a limited player, and this fan base is quite delusional about his ability. This is the Premier League, not the Portuguese league. We can’t carry a player that only contributes in one phase of play.

0.18xg is always going to make it hard. We simply dont create enough clear chances a game
