Lol this is nothing, tchoumeni becoming a gk against ferran’s shot and not being a penalty, unc lewa having double jumbo size shoes and in var review and called offside, lol the list goes on

Its offside. The part of Garcia that is legal to touch the ball is closer to their goal that the part of the body of their defender that is legal to touch the ball.

Its very close offside, but what you see on this picture is offside by the rules.

Edit: offside was given and eric garcia’s goal got cancelled.

Had a brainfart while writing the title. My apologies.

    Pasting my comment from r/soccer:

I know I’m going against the grain here, but I think it is offside.

The sleeves are not where the offside line should be judged from, because they extend below the shoulder. In this image, the defender’s arm is stretched out to the side while Eric’s is straight down, which makes the graphic look more incriminating than it really is.

What matters is the furthest goal-side point of the defender’s shoulder, and Eric’s shoulder looks beyond that line.

Yeah this is just a joke. Honestly. I don’t know how case after case of this doesn’t help change this broken ass system
