Arteta “I don’t want to criticize any player publicly, there were a lot of situations that were quite obvious, I don’t want to go into that detail…We need to stand up, Me first and embrace the challenge to go for it!”

  1. Criticizes martinelli at every missed chance (not that nelli was any good today) in press though.

Embrace the challenge by playing the most safe football imaginable. To the point where one small mistake can change a game.

Feels like they need a sports psychologist or african priestess lmao we have bad juju in April

Nonsense, why can he criticize Martinelli, why was he able to criticize Pepe and Ozil in his first two seasons at the club? Maybe because these players are his? He has to go with half of the squad if we don’t win anything at the end of the season.

The fuck will you criticize a player for? When they are running around like hapless chickens in a game strategy that relies on corners and individual brilliance? Where’s your ownership?

I’ve had enough tbh, only 4 players in today’s starting 11 were a part of the 22/23 squad (first crumble), it’s not the players mentality it’s something either with the club or coaching staff, or both

I’m not blaming players for this, the set up was wrong and you could see it before kick off, having the three of noni Gabi and victor starting hasn’t worked all season, and you do it again, when Leo is on the bench.

Noni can’t drop deep to receive the ball where if you play havertz he needs to be closer to victor, so they is a massive gap in midfield.

Martinelli isn’t technically secure to do it.

So you start max or Leo.

This one falls on Arteta and you could see before kick off,

I’m praying this period of losses, two in cups, and today is our final wobble of the season. It’s all I got to hold onto right now.

  9. Meanwhile he likes to single out Martinelli for missing the only chance created in a game.

  10. ImpossibleYam232 on

If they were obvious why not fix them? Fuck me you’re one of the highest paid managers prove your worth!!

He’s said the same thing for the last month. When you repeat the same nonsense and keep getting the end results it shows your message isn’t getting through nor are you capable of turning things around.

Time for change come end season. Arteta has clearly reached the end of his time at this club.

“Let’s make the challenge harder, then go for it!” Sick of this shit

Then take some fucking accountability and acknowledge that it’s your Tony Pulis premium tactics that are digging this hole for us.

I’m so done with this man.

  14. Maybe he does need to start criticising them because at this point protecting them constantly clearly isn’t working is it?

  15. PersonalAd4913 on

This is as straightforward as he’s been publicly with the players. Silly mistakes leading directly to goals. Would not be surprised to see Madueke, Zubi and White on the bench next week.

  16. Stop pretending you’re protecting the players. Talking like this and acting as if you’re looking out for them is actually just a way of hinting that the responsibility lies with the players, you hypocrite. The problem has always been you!

  17. This result is by and far his responsibility. The intensity just isn’t there from the team. That’s on him.

He shows no signs of learning.

Havertz in the 10 again, playing stupid football at the back, Martinelli in the league.

We are playing into the other teams hands at the moment, no surprise in the line up, no surprise in how we are going to play.

The other managers must go to bed after playing us and not believing it.

Let’s be real here Bournemouth barely got out of second gear to beat us.

  19. You run players into the ground, Ben white just got back from a long injury but know what let’s play him for 3 straight matches in 7 days, everything will be fine

  20. Going to presume this was following runners for both goals. MLS lost his man for the first and Zubimendi for the second

Theres much bigger problems just now than individual mistakes though. We’re not in the cateogry of “fine margins” right now. We are getting the results we deserve to be getting

3 losses in the last 4 and deservedly so. Even the Sporting game was very poor. Until we scored in the 91st minute we had 0.17xG

I dont know how Mikel even turns it around now. We do the same thing every game. We are devoid of all attacking fluidity or intent every game

  21. Arteta and the players have been trying to stand up for 3 games in a row now, are they disabled?

  22. ImGonnaImagineSummit on

Go for it? I thought we already were.

I know it’s not intentional but his pressers after losses are infuriating.

It’s ok to not single anyone out but there’s no sense of him changing anything to improve.

We’ve smacked our heads against the last 4 teams we played and got outballed.

  23. Losing next week to 115 is fatal. If we dont lose than I still might have some faith.. Dont think Chelsea is able to do anything tomorrow

  24. MySubtleHustle7042 on

Spoken like someone who knows he’ll be sacked if the club finishes without a trophy.

  25. Particular-Current87 on

Saw the lineup and without a creative player in the centre I knew we were cooked, likewise the fullbacks were always gonna be a weakpoint
