  1. Thanks for this video. As a PSG's fan since 25 years, I never saw a team played so well and being so balanced. Luis Enrique is a genius and don't get the credit he deserve. In paris is already a legend above all former players and manager. God Bless Him. And God bless all of those who will see that message.

  2. You forgot that his Barcelona was more direct than Pep's and also more defensively sound, so using the Spain period as an example is a little iffy, especially since that team has been playing like that since Euro 2008, under Aragones.

  3. Watching this after how Psg dominated my team Liverpool. Psg dont even play with a natural defensive midfielder like us but they are very balanced and so good thats why im curious of their approach attacking and defending. Slot should watch this and learn. But im sure to be thia coordinated, it takes a long time to build this chemistry and understanding. I hope Slot gets some time and in pre season with much transfer activities work on the training pitch and build something up and gain inspiration from Psg

  4. I remember mentioning to you on Twitter the classical orchestra vs improvisational jazz analogy after I was critical of the order vs chaos analogy for positional play vs relationism. Glad to see it in the video.

  5. Dude literally psg has been postponing there matches when they have big games, if they were good why they dont play against team in equal condition. They are in a farmers league and they still want to have the edge. It’s just ridiculous.

  6. Psg and man city almost play the same only that psg has more tactical and complete modern players in their positions. They are more fluid, even the way the attackers play they know when to use speed or slow down the game that's why they see the game differently. I was wondering why rayan cherki finds it easy to play in the Premier league, some city players were forced to adapt to his style(haaland) but now I understand why. Ligue 1 is more tactical focused, even la liga. Uefa league is a battle iq game it exposes which team is more tactical than the other that's why most teams find athletico difficult to play against unless they meet fellow league teams or more tactical teams with fluid forwards that's why imo psg is better than bayern at the moment. The bayern backline are not ballers.

  7. Because their enemy never freakout to facing PSG, they believe that can beat Psg

So Psg had a lot space to expose their defence

  8. Very interesting exposé / point of view.
Thanks also for the initial reminder about Spain and PSG quite opposite "habits".

Louis Enrique work with PSG has been outstanding.
Even if PSG had NOT have their "all time great" season, the way he has been able to insufflate a truly team work / mentality would have been widely noticed.
For the last 12 months or so, PSG has been a joy to watch most of the time.

  9. please analyze boca juniors. it would be really cool to see you leave europe and investigate teams abroad. mamelodi sundowns under mokwena is another example that comes to mind

  10. I am glad that we are going back to an era where talented players can once again be seen on the pitch. The last few years of Guardiola-style football had seemed to push those players toward extinction, and then the Germans’ pressing made them an almost extinct species outright. I can only imagine the Rodri type Balon D'Or winners we would have seen had it not been for tge magic of Messi and the crazy CR7 numbers. Football, to me, became about running, harrying, and then more running and harrying. I miss the maverick No. 10s and the dribble- and trick-heavy wide men that made me fall in love with the game as a kid. Hopefully the artists are coming back to the game, as we are seeing with Yamal, Olise, Pedri, and others.

  11. It's not the point of the video but it's interesting to notice two other things :

-Enrique made it fun. I think you mention it but Spain was boring, and it was strange to see such good players with so much entertaining skills to be so dull. First year at PSG started to look like that. Right now the team is SO entertaining, it's uncanny. It's not just because they win but it's a movie when they play, absolute cinema. The match against Liverpool is a perfect example.

-Enrique made us love them again. I was starting to hate the players. We had debates among PSG fans whether we loved or hated Verratti, or Neymar, or Messi, or Cavani, or Mbappé, etc. Inside controversy, players drama, etc. Right now, we just love them all, they look humble outside the pitch, they enjoy themselves on the pitch, no one is above the team. Enrique with his huge ego told them that ego was a lie.

PSG wins and a lot of people are impressed by it, which is amazing.
