Slot and the board have treated Andy like complete shit. Why make him the vice captain just to sit him on the bench. Still has plenty to offer. It’s like Slot is trying to suck every last ounce of personality out of this team now. Poor not awarding Andy a further deal, very poor

I love Robbo but it always irks me for some reason when this tweet is shared, as if he’s been on proper some rags to riches story.
He was a Scottish teenager from a working class family. Of course he was skint. Most teenagers are. I’d wager most British footballers have a similar, working class but somewhat comfortable background (as in, not on or below the poverty line).
Of course, I’m not taking a thing away from Robbo at all; he’s worked hard all his life to get here and he’s earned every bit of his success for it. I just find it odd people act like he came from some particularly rough background.
I mean, even just 2 years later, he’d be playing in a Scottish Cup final
