Manchester City have laid down the ground-work to bring highly-rated goalkeeper Pierce Charles back to the club, with James Trafford expected to leave. The 20-year-old, born in Manchester, came through City’s academy before joining Sheffield Wednesday at the age of 16

Do yourself a favour and look at his distribution on twitter, ridiculous.
Also correct me if I’m wrong, but I think he’s Shea Charles’ little brother.
Actually say his game against Leicester this weekend and it was very impressive actually , he’s been a big reason why they haven’t been overly battered that much yet. His shot stopping is really good and distribution very appealing , how would this translate to cups though? I don’t know you can only see but from what I’ve saw and heard he’s had an impressive season in a club that’s already down.
I coincidentally saw a montage of his saves for Wednesday last week. That looked good but is all I have to go on.
I’m always up for a City talent coming to City. It’s hard to see Traff leave but I think I’d much rather see him do well wherever he goes than stay here forever, it would be selfish. I’m hoping that maybe in the future he might join us as a more experienced, more polished 26 or 27 year old, it feels like that is bound to happen
“Sources, meanwhile, can also confirm that BlueCo are in the conversation. The ownership group are considering a move for Charles with a view to placing him at Strasbourg, where he could replace Mike Penders – who is set to return to Chelsea this summer as their new number one.”
of course
Thank God for links…some fans seemed to believe Trafford was the last young promising keeper left in the world.
Pain
I read Prince Charles and had a *hmmm* moment
The fact that he’s played for a such a struggling team this season I think has worked in his favour, facing so many shots every game will be good for giving him experience and confidence.
Will be a good backup for Donnarumma if he decides to come.
