Kind of random but the few times they show Ruiz on tv these past games the dude is on his phone barely watching us. It’s not like he’s watching psg Troyes either it’s Chelsea or Liverpool.
Of course he took his spot especially if the rumours of « not wanting to play even though nothing comes up in exams » are true.
If we see him at 200% for the world cup he can keep on dreaming for taking back the spot Emery won with hard work.
Dude was becoming one of the bests in Europe and now … will Spain even take him with 2 games in 6 months ? They have a couple big names already for these positions he might have a funny surprise.

What’s up with him? Is he just optimizing his trophy cabinet possibilities – like, I got the UCL, just missing the world cup?
If so, it’s weird to me, considering how all our other players are acting even after ”winning it all” with our club. Fabian literally went from a guy that everyone said ”get him out” to ”thank god Fabian is fit and starting tonight”. You’d think that would’ve motivated him?
Like the other comment said, Fabian has potential to still mark his name as one of the clubs all-time greats, but I can’t see him returning to the starting xi if he’s suddenly at his best at the world cup, not to mention if we managed to win the UCL back-to-back without him. But I guess looking how he’s already 30 he really isn’t taking risks of missing a world cup. Kinda sucks to be honest, I was really admiring him for pushing through that redemption arc. But any agenda that limits or hurts our club, I won’t respect.
