  1. If ever I need Arsenal to win things… it’s gotta be this year, my depression has been at such a level I don’t know if I could actually take it!

atp, ive kinda stopped trusting Opta – stupid bot making stupid predictions that ends up jinxing us. Still, have faith in my boys, COYG!!

I think it’s because Bayern and PSG will meet in the semi finals otherwise we’d likely be 3rd. If we can make the final we might be able to sit back and nick a set piece or a bit of luck. After watching PSG and Bayern we can’t go toe to toe with them that’s for sure

  4. Nah i’d say 1. PSG (because they are champions and look lethal in attack they got quality players from back to front) 2. Arsenal (unbeaten in the competition thus far defeated ATM and Bayern) 3. Bayern (organised team with clear identity difficult to play against)

Whatever Optus says, I do the opposite. So according to me we are not favourites

My issue is that even if we get into the final i dont think our defense is better than psg and bayern’s attack. We need to be inch perfect at the back to get a clean sheet and somehow score

But Shay Given told me we had no chance because we didn’t blow Sporting away.

Remember this has as much to do with money coming in as it does actual favorites to win it all. With all that gunner money flowing in, the odds will drop

We’re only favorites because there’s only one of PSG or Bayern that can get to the final.

I’m sure either one of them would be the bookmakers’ favorite against us in the final.

I think that has something to do with the side of the draw we are in. In any case, both Doue and Olisse would fold nicely into Hincapie’s pocket 😉.

Reminder that Opta only looks at hard data and not “the eye test”, which should have us confortably below the other current tie leaders.

  12. Would be interesting to see how much of this is down to our route to the final – e.g I’d assume if we do get to Budapest, and our opponent is PSG or Bayern, then we would be second favourites. But because they have to play each other to get to the final, their chances are currently lower than ours?

Really?! I’m guessing it’s just based on stats from this season’s CL campaign only.

This is probably because we on paper have the easiest next leg, at home to Sporting – so technically have the strongest chance of making the semis, which inflates the overall chance of winning the tournament.

If we get to the final, I’d still put PSG or Bayern as favourites to win – but we probably have a overall higher% chance of winning as we avoid those teams in the semis, and have the highest chance of making the semi final.

Really you should take this as PSG/Bayern will probably win with a combined 45% chance, then Arsenal at 36%.

First, Lets win the Prem in the next 4 games. Then we focus on the CL.

We went from quadruple to double in such short time. Get the PL done

    Stats. Lies. Reality.

Bayern are the true favourites. Then PSG. Whoever gets to the final out of those two is the bookies fave.
