We are excited to confirm that our men’s first team will play Atletico de Madrid in the Snapdragon Cup in Stockholm, Sweden this summer.

The fixture will be played on Saturday 1 August, as part of a series of pre-season matches in Finland, Norway, Sweden and Dublin, as the squad prepares for the 2026/27 season.

The schedule has been designed to support our football preparations, while giving us the opportunity to connect with our supporters across Europe.

**Manchester United director of football Jason Wilcox said:**

“Following the announcement of our match against Leeds United in Dublin, we’re excited to confirm four more pre-season fixtures in the Nordics.

“We’re delighted to be playing in some fantastic cities, against opponents who will provide a strong test for us.

“We have the best fans in the world, and this schedule gives us a great opportunity to connect with our supporters across Europe. We’re really looking forward to getting out there and putting in the hard work ahead of a big season.”

  3. For the person who deleted his comment.

There wont be a Old Trafford game as the premier league season starts the weekend after the Leeds game.

  5. Decent few fixtures there. Much better than the last where it was all premier league teams. Obviously preseason games are not indicative of how the season will go but it could give us an insight into how the champions league run will go.

  6. I mean I’m quite dissappointed that continental Europe (I’m not counting Sweden, Finland and Norway as continental) has been completely left out

  7. Us Stockholm based supporters are feasting. We got a pre season match last year as well.
