So, apparently in the 1st situation it was about "rules" that he is last man standing and not common sense that ball was not in his control and Cubarsi could do nothing about it.

But apparently in 2nd second situation we need common sense to understand that this is part of the play and Le Normand did it by mistake as it is general play.

Not only this but Llorente yellow for sandwich tackle on Yamal ,Koke yellow.

Meanwhile Pedri got a yellow card for the lightest challenge because of which he couldn't play the full game.

Such a frustating game refreeing POV.

  1. Everyone so fixated on that hand but the real question for me is, Koke, he fouls Olmo with a technical and aggressive foul and the ref gives him a verbal warning but no yellow, then he does 2 more yellow card worthy fouls yet at the end only receives 1 yellow.
If a ref can forgive a yellow, why cant they forgive a red? This sort of shit thats left to refs personality is something that really matters in games of this high caliber.

Edit: also, that ball is behind Simeone, he is raising his foot back and hits Cubarsi in the thigh… that is not a goal scoaring opportunity , thats a devided ball

  2. The referee was not good today with the yellow cards. I also blame VAR for not seeing or showing this angle where it clearly shows that Simeone initiated the contact and is not in control of the ball and therefore not in a clear goal scoring position. In short, we were robbed.

But that does not excuse how awful we are upfront at finishing especially with a leaky defense.

This is where VAR normally comes in but they don’t even check or tell the ref, not sure when this will end with refs messing us up. Atleti have officially robbed Barca of the CL tie twice.

What pisses me off more is how Koke got away with just one yellow.
