Nizaar Kinsella: Privately, the club have assured Cucurella and captain James – the latter during his most recent contract renewal – that signings with proven Premier League experience will arrive at centre‑back, central midfield and in attacking areas.

Doesn’t even need to be premier league experience necessarily but just some actual good players please

Like Tosin?
– Chelsea remain in regular dialogue with senior players and accept some criticism, including Cucurella’s comments regarding the recruitment of young players and how that contributed to a naive first‑half performance at PSG.
– That is also what Rosenior was referring to when he said “you will see” in response to questions about Chelsea’s ambition – a message the club view as important amid efforts by a fringe supporter group to build momentum towards a planned protest before the United match.
– Rosenior has also indicated a number of players are set to sign contract renewals before the end of the season.
– Moises Caicedo and Levi Colwill are among those also believed to be seeking improved terms.
– It appears Fernandez is unlikely to back down unless he secures a new contract on significantly improved terms or is sold.
– The club are also expected to hold out for at least the £107m they paid Benfica to sign him in 2023 – a British transfer record at the time.
– The situation also highlights how Chelsea’s incentive‑based contracts, which include bonuses linked to goals, assists and Champions League qualification, can deliver value for the club but also prove frustrating for high‑profile players tied into lengthy deals.
– Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid have been linked but are considered unlikely to move under those conditions, while reports connecting Fernandez with PSG are understood to be wide of the mark.
– The decision to drop Enzo Fernandez was made by Rosenior alongside co‑sporting directors Paul Winstanley and Laurence Stewart, with the backing of influential ownership figures including Behdad Eghbali.
I will believe when it happens!
Barco’s played for Brighton 👀

‘Privately’
The PR machine is in overdrive lmfaooo ,
3 weeks ago finklestein basically told the supporters trust that they’re sticking to the project and it’s fuckn obvious we’re building the best team in the world , but now suddenly we’ve actually been meaning to step away and sign more experienced players and been telling our senior players that
Right , I’ll have some more magic beans please

Honestly, I’m going heavily judge the signings we make this summer after all these briefings. Time to put up or shut up.
These knobs think 50-100 appearances is “experience”, I have zero faith in these sporting directors and owners. I’ll believe it when I see it.
We will believe it when we see it
It mentions premier league experience which is far different from world class experienced players. All our signings from Brighton have premier league experience
Thank you cucurella
I’ll believe it when I see it.
In before they sign Senesi as a free agent and present him as the immediate impact signing & of course the solution to all our defensive problems
Life is honestly 1000x better when you don’t consume every latest news.
BLUECO OUT🔵🔵🔵🔵🔵
Chalobah turns 27 in June. Contract extension pending by these chuckle directors.
Can we just do 3 cbs
I’m glad there is communication between our best players/leaders
So we’re stuck with slippy Sanchez for another season?
Ah yeah surely this is not a brief ? 🤔🤔🤔🤔

They’re gonna sign van Hecke and Senisei aren’t they 😂😂
I’ll bet good money that the PL proven CB is going to Murillo lol.

A goalkeeper. Number one priority should be a proven, solid fuckin goalkeeper. I can’t handle another season of Sanchez and Jorgensen.
I don’t care who it is as long as we know he’s not going to cost us points week in week out and have us all clenching every time the ball is at his feet.
Even an older keeper. You look at how well Pickford and Yann Sommer are doing.Van Der Sar was top class at United in his 40s. It’s a different dynamic compared to outfield players.
Maybe Penders might be ready but if we want consistency next season we need a keeper who has a proven record of not shitting the bed every other week.
So we will pay a premium price for players when we can get just as good if not better for significantly cheaper from overseas? 😂
Who even came up with this nonsense about PL proven?
It’s not even about premier league experience it’s about having winners, players who have and know how to win big games and handle the pressure.
The last defender we signed for Premier league experience can’t judge a ball over the top.
Get me Bisseck, Anderson , and Ndiaye
Liam Delap had PL experience
These mugs absolutely saw Gittens as an “experienced” player
They will sign Sensi. Not bad but not going to win titles
