Only once in UEFA Champions League history have Bayern Munich been eliminated after winning the first leg away from home — 2010/11 Round of 16 vs Inter Milan, decided on away goals.

  1. The tie is still alive but losing the home leg is a huge blow to our chances. Honestly I see Bayern with a convincing win next week, hope I’m wrong

That Milan team were world beaters. I don’t see us doing it. They beat prime Barca the following year

I don’t think we will win next, but its more than doable. It will demand everyone to put in a shift, and some luck.

    But Bayern is beatable.

What I will be looking for the most is how this team will perform under pressure, because our season is on the line next week. 99% chance It will be another trophyless season, but how we end it will also have an impact.

If we lose next week, and lose the league and also lose El Clasico, arbeloa will be done, but players like Vini, Jude, Mbappe, Fede are all world class stars, and they will have to look inwards after failing to deliver 2 seasons in a row.

But more than anybody, Perez needs a reality check and will have to take this seriously if he doesn’t want to watch Barca run away with every year. He needs to put faith in a competent coach, stop the nursing the players, build a professional organisation not focused on player feelings, pastries and days off, and make the right signings.

Carlo asked for defenders, they came after he was fired, Xabi asked for a midfielder and it didn’t come.

Whoever comes in next will not succeed either if Perez don’t provide the pieces they ask for.
