The narrative on him has flipped so much that he is now very underrated by our fanbase. His goals + assists numbers are as good or better than any of our other wingers this season. He also cost less than Trossard and Madueke and loves the club. Will never understand why he gets so much stick, even if I agree we need another top class winger for him to rotate with.

We are lacking a bit of direct play from players especially midfield. At times we need to run into space and drive forward. Martinelli did that today, Dowman too.
I also don’t care what anybody says Odegard was one of the few players on the pitch today that looked for positive forward play.

I love him but think this says more about our conservative approach to PL. Don’t recall him cutting inside like that once in PL matches. And please don’t bring up the low block excuse when it’s our strategy to pin teams back in a low block.

He’s honestly a great sub player, he can bring an energy to the team after both sides become sluggish and standstill for 60-70 minutes. But his game doesn’t translate well for a full game. Today we saw he was able to hold off two tired sporting players and find a pass down the middle to an open havertz, something that I don’t think would happen in the first half let’s say.
