  1. It wasn’t a good performance, but it was good enough, and that’s what matters.

I’m going to be so sad when we inevitably accept that £18m offer from Everton for him this summer

He gave his body and knee for us while the corpse of Tomiyasu was still recovering and Timber did his ACL.

I can never be mad at White, even if he’s played poorly (e.g. – vs Soton). Always in my good books.

  3. Their attack looked tricky because he was shaky ,

Didn’t manage any link up with Madueke , Dowman, Odegaard or Havertz ahead of him

I hope he can find the player he used to be

  4. He was utter shit for the first 30 minutes. That Arujo shot was 100% White asleep at the switch, and there were several more *after* that, when he should have been on notice.

But he wised up. I do miss the overlaps — Timber doesn’t do that, though I hope he might learn.

EDIT: I take it back. It was 90% White asleep at the switch, and 10% a spectacular pass from Diomande.

  5. Glad he had a fairly uneventful game. Felt really bad for him for the lapse in the FA Cup.

Guess what happens to a very good player who gets a couple games in a row after being out 90% of the season?

    They go up the levels

  7. I love Benny, but let’s not pretend it’s not a concern he got burnt down his side about 3/4 times in this game. One of which NEARLY opened the score sheet for them in 6 mins of not for Raya

Not sure about this post. If he has to start against Barca and puts in this same performance they’ll score 2-3 down our right side, easy.

  9. He got better as time went on. It takes time to get back in form. Back the poor guy. He’s great when he’s in the zone.

Our standards for individual players has absolutely fallen through the floor

Benny playing average and everyone is freaking out. It just tells the quality of him.

People forget how long he’s been out for. Players need to play themselves back into confidence. A lot of our previous starts including him, Odegaard and saka have had to deal with constant niggling injuries. Never easy to gain any momentum when that’s happening.
