‘It will be a dream come true to play at Wembley,’ explained the 20-year-old.

‘It’s always difficult [against lower league opposition in the FA Cup], but we played well from the back, the tempo was fast and we created many chances across the 90 minutes. We scored seven goals, so really it was the perfect game.’

Both of Hato’s goals in Chelsea colours have come in the FA Cup, and while Saturday’s effort wasn’t as spectacular as his strike at the Valley in the third round, it still meant a lot.

‘It’s my tournament, isn’t it?’ Hato said with a smile.

‘I was very happy to score my first goal [against Charlton] and now my first goal at Stamford Bridge, so I’m very happy.

‘It was a great result and we played great football. It’s a good way to come back after the international break.’

Hato is quickly becoming one of my favorites tbh. Very humble, articulate, focused, and he’s improved so much on the pitch to the point where I think he’s the perfect backup to Cucu, and I genuinely think he could be at the club another decade if he keeps developing
