Let me answer that for you: Yes.

Thanks for subscribing to my news service.

  2. As someone who was notorious for breaking any sense of structure in the team and just spammed long balls for years, i really doubt that. He doesn’t do it this season, but i don’t see too much coaching material

  3. Yeah, when Carrick leaves after winning 5 trebles in a row Bruno will take over and win another 5 in a row. It has been foretold.

Watching Bruno live is such a joy and made me appreciate him more as a captain. In person you really get to see how influential he is across the pitch and how much structure he helps bring through communication. Whether it be a defender, midfielder or attacker if something doesn’t work or there’s a wavelength issue he immediately gets the message across so the others match what he’s trying to do. We’ve seen the clips posted here a few times this season already and those quick chats happen after almost every action and any time the ball is out of play.

Pretty sure it’s been mentioned by a few journalists how passionate and invested he is in tactics and coaching, so I’d be very surprised if he doesn’t pursue this career path after retirement. He doesn’t strike me as someone who’d want to give up football when he hangs up his boots. In an ideal world he retires here and becomes a coach/assistant to kickstart his managerial career.

Anyone doubting this I implore you to watch a game back and focus only on Bruno for the 90 minutes, he is the manager on the pitch, you constantly see him directing the rest of the squad, talking to them during stoppages, arranging them at set plays. The team looks lost when he’s not there.

Add to that he has a brilliant understanding of space, anticipation, movement and vision at pitch level. The biggest barrier is whether he has the ability to communicate these things to a team of players

Coach, yes. Head coach or manager, probably not.

His standards are too high and it is obvious from his body language that he is an emotional footballer. I think he would lose dressing rooms

  7. I hate seeing claims about how x player will make a great manager, but after watching a ton of Bruno interviews I think he could be a good one.

He obviously has a very smart footballing mind. He especially knows and can read his opponents very well, and understands game tempo well too. But what strikes me the most about him is how well he motivates and coaches his teammates.
