We were very poor domestically in the 2017/18 La Liga season. We had BBC, Kroos, Modric, Ramos pretty much every legend imaginable and still underperformed, finishing 3rd.
We finished 2nd in our UCL group(Spurs finished 1st) and got knocked out of the Copa del Rey in the quarter-finals by Leganés.
Yes, we won the three peat, but as a team we were far from convincing that season, despite having one of the greatest squads ever assembled.
My point is, You can have the perfect team possible and still struggle. This season feels similar.We just need to back the team instead of singling out players.
We’re still in the UCL, and win or lose seasons like this happen,it’s part of the game.
We’ve been spoiled by our own success over the last decade.

That unconvincing team unconvincingly beat PSG, Juventus, Bayern, Liverpool in UCL. I’ll take that even if we finish 3rd this year.

Holy shit that domestic season was a nightmare, I remember we were so lucky Bayern didn’t give us an ass whooping that second leg as well.
Because ronaldo,bale,Ramos,Kroos,Modric,marcelo,varane,carvajal,keylor navas missed like 10,11 games that season in la liga,also we won the ucl that season so u can’t compare that to now
Don’t forget this was the final season negreira was in charge lol, he had to make sure his team walked the league before he was gone
