  1. Definite red card. It’s not a clear goal scoring opportunity but the location of the Hearts CB shows he would unlikely have caught the Livi striker. Last man definitely.

I’m fine with this DOGSO. Nobody is even close to him so he is definitely getting some sort of attempt on goal off.

He’s still got a lot of work to do from there to score but it’s a red all day long. Shouldn’t need VAR to make the call.

Maybe not the case here but I think if someone is racing through on goal with only the keeper to beat and is fouled, rather than a sending off it should result in a penalty. Regardless of how far outside the penalty area they are. Otherwise deliberate fouling is incentivised.

Equally fouls inside the area where the attacker was going away from goal or just wasn’t threatening a goal should be a free kick inside the area.

Not convinced by this one. Think the guy in centre circle would intercept. Too far away to be an obvious goal scoring opportunity for me.

  6. Defo red. Glad he blew the whistle almost straight away when play restarted. Would have been unjust to play an extra minute.

If he just holds him up a bit until the other defender on the opposite side gets across a bit more he probably wouldn’t have been sent off. Seems a bit silly to bring him down given how far from goal he is.

How that’s not a red is honestly beyond me just from the ref var having to step in is shocking. I don’t care if my flair suggests there might be bias.

  9. Yellows probably the right decision. Foul wasn’t in the Hearts half, there’s a player coming across (albeit a bit away) but its not exactly a goal scoring opportunity.

  10. He has a clear route to goal which is an opportunity to score. It is clear and obvious. The end.
