I use to watch for the banter when DT and Claude was on few years back sadly after Claude died and DT getting booted of the show I stopped watching. Going back a few years.

The aftv viewership was always tied to Arsenal being a car crash, data showed they’re followed by more outside of London right from the start.
This is just a hit piece for the sake of it really. Anyone in the content space knows Robbie has set up DR Sports and diversified ages ago. Decent content, if a little juvenile, still they cover the sport more broadly and regularly do views online above The Athletic, Copa and Talksport for similar topics.

I’ve found the channel to be a misrepresentation of Arsenal fans as a whole. Have a look at the matchday fans that attend the games and have a look at the clowns that come on AFTV. Two different demographics totally. That one channel has made more people hate Arsenal fans and the club compared to anything else. The average “normal” Arsenal fan is just like any other rival fan, just banter etc etc. The AFTV showcase shows morons full stop.

I only really watch their transfer daily series every window, which, tbh isn’t even that accurate because it’s literally every rumour, so we get stuff like them talking about signing Vini Jr.

Honestly, those cunts belong in the bin and always have done. The media and fickle talksport fan boys saw AFTV as a representation of our fans and for years normal fans have felt the need to defend themselves from being seen that way. They opened the door for reactionary fandom, and you’re seeing it in other fan bases now too.

AFTV and similarly TUS and every other fan channel have always been relying on their clubs doing badly in the league for views. There’s no doubt AFTV have become way more commercialised though
