  1. pressure means nothing if he isnt changing anything since last 7 months. the tactics are shite and the intensity has gone down the drain still no improvement in anything

If we get knocked out by PSG and only qualify for Europa, Conference, or even nothing, then the damn board still says they have confidence in him… I will lose my fking mind…

Textbook definition of “lions led by monkeys”

They’re going to wait till the summer aren’t they.

At least if we get an interim now we could have a bounce and secure CL, Chelsea look shite as well.

  4. This same headline has been published after each match for the last few months.

Can the pressure finally sack him already?

FSG and board are not dumb.. firing him now will make much more worse.. wait till end of the season to get a new manager early and we go again.. I believe Roy Hodgson team had more fighting spirit than the current team

He knows he’s going soon. He’s just waiting for his big payoff. It’s a shame the financial rewards for getting fired are so great. If he had any self-respect he’d resign.

Don’t see how yesterday changes much. All season we look weak and aimless on the pitch, world class players in most positions looking like mid-table players. If we won the fa cup and kept Slot it’s making the same mistake United did with Ten Haag.

Slot did great to win the league, taking over from Klopp was never going to be easy. He did amazing from that point of view but his time is clearly up.

  8. Yawn, very boring article. Very boring Slot comments, and player comments. Sick of the same platitudes. Every week the players embarrass themselves and the fans. Get them the fuck out and start again.

  9. It won’t happen but we won’t do any worse if we sacked Slot before PSG. At worst we lose regardless but there’s a chance just that change is enough to spur some players on.

Look … I’m all for sacking Slot and am one of his biggest critics. However I think sacking coaches during the season is the wrong approach.

    1. You generally don’t have better coaching option mid season – look how it’s going for spurs ( yes .. I know Alonso is available in this scenario but he probably wouldn’t take the job until end of season )

    2. We need to give coaches time … there’s a lot of reasons things don’t work out … give them 1 season before making a decision. So whoever comes knows they have time to implement their plan instead of scrambling to not get sacked

  11. FFS What pressure? Slot had been on under such “pressure” since Oct/Nov 25.

Just sound like BS stuff at this point

He’s not under pressure. The football has been shite for 14 months. Owners are happy, profits are up, ticket prices going up for the next three years. Players love him because training is so laid back, you can swap shirts after getting battered by your rivals four nil, you can slag off the away support (Szoboszlai) and nothing happens. So it’s all good. He’s created the perfect atmosphere.

I feel like I’m being fucking gaslit every time someone brings up “injury problems” as a mitigating circumstance. At right back? Sure, but beyond that, we haven’t had an excessive amount of injuries. Every team has injury problems every single season. It’s not an excuse for how bad we’ve been at all. The issue is with our squad building, and Slot’s pigheaded refusal to use youth players, except to throw the Carabao.

After UCL we will see another regurgitation of the same headline.
I have come to make peace with the fact that he won’t be sacked this season and that he could possibly be at the helm next season

The pressure shouldn’t be _ramping_ up it should already be ramped so high it’s strangling him

  16. Can’t recall the last time Pep’s City ever capitulated against us. The 3-0 CL QF win back in 2018 maybe but that match was far from easy. On the other hand, yesterday wasn’t the first time we’ve been humiliated by City. Sadly I doubt it will be the last.

  17. Ah we’re still in the pressure-ramping phase. Let’s just wait for PSG to humiliate us and top 5 to get completely out of reach before we do anything about this season.

Every single person responsible for keeping Slot after the PSV – Forest week needs to leave the club in shame.

    Blood on their hands.

  18. Nothing will happen until after the end of the season….strategic review and then Xabi Alonso will be appointed as new Manager and it is then revealed that he bought a house in Formby in March.
