We forgot how to play direct incisive attacking football. Forget the blocks. We can’t. Other teams can. Even a championship side can carve us apart. It’s beyond pathetic. We’re slumping at the worst time of the season. And we know which team just went into beast mode. Our chances of winning a trophy just got a whole lot worse. If we can’t win next weekend I’d consider the title gone. City will tear us apart and waltz to the podium.

I am upset about the League Cup final, still. As I said then play your best team, we haven’t won anything in a while and needed to get that monkey off our backs plus the whole stick it to city angle. I warned of the danger of losing momentum if we lost to city and talked of the effects of Bergkamps missed penalty in 99 and how we never recovered. Feeling some deja vu shit right now and won’t forgive Mikel if we end up empty handed this year.
