Slot has lost the dressing room. It’s as simple as that.

    SACK HIM NOW.

I mean what do you expect? The reporter is trying to suggest the players aren’t working for the manager. The manager is not going to come out and say “oh yeah I’ve clearly lost the dressing room”, whether it is or isn’t true, and he’s not going to completely shit on the squad either. Just a really pointless question that only aims to catch Slot out. And whether you’re Slot in or Slot out, the truth is when it comes to interviews Slot, despite being someone combative in recent months, has for the most part always been pretty tact.

How can the owners keep this charade going. We spent the most we’ve spent in a transfer window ever and are losing left right and center. The only 3 things certain from a Liverpool game these days is, the other team winning, slot saying they didn’t lose because they played bad and Gakpo cutting right.

  4. Can someone TRY to translate what he is saying? It sounds like he is describing his own inadequacy.

I am not used to such a high level of football where even one (read 4) mistakes get punished – is what I am hearing. He is pleading to be put out of his misery.

“If you dont count the goals the other team score, we’re doing really well!”

  6. “Forget” ??? wtf is he on? i can’t listen to his nonsense anymore… insufferable times these are…

  7. Standard-Muscle-836 on

They are being paid too much money to ‘forget’ to do these basic bloody things. Fuck off with that bullshit. I’m a 50 year old menopausal woman and even I know how this game works šŸ™„

  8. He’s saying we are unlucky

    But ā€œunluckyā€ comes from

ā€œAh well, we just lost that because we didn’t do thisā€

There’s no space in English football for unlucky

There’s always someone gonna punish the mistake

The biggest glaring issue is – we don’t punish the opponents anymore

We have gone from out running, out fighting and outplaying teams

To not competing at any of those fixed expectations

  9. Players are playing far less physically demanding matches than the heavy-metal, high-intensity football Klopp had them playing… and yet our injury list has been shambolic this season. The fitness of our players must be awful.

  10. He’s repeating the same BS about being unlucky. He’s delusional really, he has to go.

Respect to the journo for actually asking a question the fans want the answer to.

Aa for the answer, I stopped listening when he said he doesn’t agree.

  12. Like I say, ā€˜From Doubters to Believers and back again’.

He has lost the players and the fans at this point and Edwards and especially Hughes are just as responsible for this mess and surely all have to go. This concept of ā€˜head coach’ should also be dead and buried.

At this point, I wouldn’t give us a chance of winning the coin toss against PSG.

The man is delusional, everybody can see the lack of functional pressing, sloppy passing, lack of movement, tactics. and basic effort.

Thank you for bringing home the title last year but respectfully, I wish you all the best, but it’s time to step aside at the end of the season,

  14. Arne Slot’s training regime would probably be fine for the Dutch Eredivisie which has slower pace than the Premier League.

He could only win the Premier League with players who were trained and motivated by Jürgen Klopp. As the 2024/25 wore on, the team gradually morphed from a Klopp side to a Slot side. They pressed less, their pace slowed and their results began to deteriorate.

Slot was clearly a good coach for the Eredivisie. He isn’t right for the Premier League.

Time for a change of coach. Rinse and repeat.

    -oo-

For me this sums up the difference between Slot and Klopp.

Under Klopp, we could win a game 5-1 but he’d be so frustrated about that one goal we let in, that one time we didn’t defend well.

Meanwhile, Slot is here saying ā€œWell, it’s not every single time.ā€ He’s more worried about pointing out that it only happened four times when that is four times too many.

  16. They’re professional footballers on ridiculous wages. This is their job, they shouldn’t be forgetting those kind of things.

  17. guillermopaz13 on

They’re switching off, they dont have any mettle, not even vvd gives up a goal and gets mad.

    We were passionless.

  18. Incompetent coaching and management I’m afraid and I’m done with the excuses. Shit performance after shit performance.
