Liverpool boss Arne Slot speaking to TNT Sports on a crucial fortnight: “For everyone in football it’s a massive few weeks. It’s no different to us than City or Arsenal. It’s exciting to be part of two quarter-finals this week.”
On if we will see the best Mohamed Salah before he leaves Liverpool: “I would love that to happen because it is such a vital part of the season. The team has to play well and then the individual will shine. Mo was injured in the last game against Brighton. He worked really hard to be back today.”
On how he has found it picking a team for the three competitions this week: “You assume I have picked my team for Wednesday and Saturday which I haven’t. We go game by game. We have some players, is Mo able to play 90 or maybe 120 if we go to extra-time? That is something not new to us this season, but it’s only a good problem to have. We play many games which means we are in many competitions.”
On Huko Ekitike’s return: “A big boost, even more because Alexander Isak hasn’t been available and is still not available. Having him back is very important.”
On Isak not being in the squad today: “We came to the conclusion it was better for him to have a few more sessions. I hope he will be available for Wednesday, but today came too early for him.”

After months an months of crap he puts gomez rb why now, why has it taken months, why did he constantly move out best player to a position he couldn’t affect the game

Let’s hope Isak will be on the bench against Fulham & ready for some meaningful minutes in the return leg against PSG

  4. Is “today came too early” an idiom? Because as far as I know today came when today was supposed to come, that’s the principle of linear time.

  5. don‘t even bother to risk him. It‘s not like it will change the outcome of us completely being destroyed by PSG
