That’s such a cool bit of football history makes sense though, the Predator boots were way ahead of their time. Proper legacy move from him.

Kind of like the story of Nike and the waffle iron.

Had two or three pairs of predator boots as a kid, probably my favourite design of boot.

Craig is a fascinating character. Brilliant player. Arrived in Britain at 14 on his own and his deal nearly fell tru, iirc the Boro manager was sacked and he didn’t make a good impression on early trials. Through stubbornness, he forced his way in and won a deal, before playing in one of Liverpools best ever teams.
Gave it all up at the height of his powers – his sister contracted an illness living in Africa and he paid for her treatment there, as well as regularly travelling to Africa to visit her (the club kept this all on the down low at the time, it didn’t make the papers). When she was able to go back to Australia he went with her and was lost to the game.
Continued to create and invent, including inventing a hotel minibar system and a football scouting database thingy. His sister is still alive AFAIK. I think he’s working now as a photographer or a photo artist or something similar. There was an interview with him a year or two ago when he visited Britain….hia story is brilliant, he’s an amazing character and is one chap I’d love to have a pint with

Only fitting that the best to ever lace those boots up was a Liverpool player, too.
