You say “when are fans ready” as if this isn’t practically breaking news

The way Enzo went about it wasn’t ideal though. Two things can be right.

  4. It will have nothing to do with that and everything to do with how shit this season has been and how little progress we’ve made overall with this strategy. And that’s if it’s actually true and the board not just feeding Fabrizio with words the fans want to hear.

  5. We’ll get linked to quality players all summer before ending up with Barco, Anselmino and some random player from Brighton

  6. You’re high as kite if you think they are going to 180 on their strategy just because of the opinions of 2 players.

It has nothing to do with Cucu or Enzo’s comment, has everything to do with forecasted profit loss after the atrocious decision making of their “project” plan

    The return of Thiago Silva.

…and in an unsurprising twist, his son will sign to CFC to balance out their ages and keep the club’s average age in the low 20s. 😄

  9. All of this is happening?

Lmfao what is happening brother? So god damn gullible. One tweet and you are back in? Lordy

It’s PR until i see it happen. How many times have they said ‘they’ll get experience’ or ‘X player is close’ only to fumble it (I use that term loosely, they never really wanted to go for them) and get a younger inferior alternative.

  11. Wow, it’s almost as if this method has worked for fucking ages for all the elite teams.

We know exactly what’s gonna happen. Were gonna be “linked” to a bunch of high quality players who will “reject” us then owners are gonna turn around and say “hey look we tried, here’s a 18 year old kid from peru who’s been jnjured for 2 years but he was really good when he was 12”

We went in for Osimhen who is an immediate impact player and bid for Maignon. So going for immediate impact players has been something we’ve been trying to do. Not landing those players and only bringing in players like Gittens and Delap who need more than 6 months of development to make any real impact for us was the problem

  14. Neither Enzo nor Cucurella are hoof enough to force changes for me and happily get rid of them both than let either of them influence decisions 🤷‍♂️

I’m not disagreeing , but the fact is we need to see this. We can’t have another season next year where ucl isn’t a guarantee and we aren’t competing to win trophies.. I don’t mind how Cucu expressed himself in the interview, it was an honest answer . He’s one of our “older players” that came from barcas academy.. he didn’t say I wanna leave or asking to leave, he just said it would be difficult to turn down an offer from his boyhood club, which is fair! I give both credit, but the way Enzo as our vice captain just basically said yes I’d love to go to Madrid, that’s a bit different. Is the effect of this lighting a fire under the owners asses ? From this text it seems that way, but still I need to see it to believe it. Enzo is a good player, but he’s about to be in a weird spot with blues fans if he doesn’t come back with real pride for this club and fight for us.

While I agree that these all add up to pressurise the owners, but there is a big difference between Enzo‘s and Cucu‘s cases.

Enzo took the punishment so the owners would finally wake up and smell the grass. Before they both walked out of the club and left for Spain.
