Enzo Fernandez’s agent has called Liam Rosenior’s decision to drop the Chelsea midfielder “completely unfair” and says his comments during the international break were not intended to disrespect the club.

Fernandez’s agent, Javier Pastore, told The Athletic talks had been held with Chelsea over renewing his client’s contract, which runs until 2032, but an agreement was yet to be reached. If the parties are unable to agree on terms after the World Cup, Pastore said the Argentina international intends to explore other options.

Please just leave the club at this point. Frankly, should have happened after him being caught gladly singing a racist song that implicated a handful of his own teammates.

  2. Runs until 2032…… but an agreement has not been reached?

The agent might be overplaying their hand

  3. I am okay with Enzo wanting out of this shit ownership, but he forgot he is the vice captain and his words carry big weight. He has mentioned Madrid repeatedly and frankly has made me a bit sad that things have turned out this way.

  4. “His comments during the international break were not intended to disrespect the club”

    Kind of gaslighting I expected

His agent is Pastore?! Wasn’t he on PSG when they knocked us out of the CL under Jose?

I’m sorry did they say his agent is *Javier Pastore*, famously rejecting Chelsea back in like 2012

    “Intends to explore other options.”

Sounds like he thoroughly explored the streets of Madrid and has already made a decision.

  8. Love the guy and wish he would have remained professional and stuck with us but you can’t be running your mouth and twerkig for another club on live streams.

Did he not see what we did to Lukaku?

  9. > The Athletic: Does Enzo want to stay at Chelsea?

    > Pastore: He’s the backbone and leader of the team; it’s only natural that, from a sporting perspective, he’s happy to be at Chelsea. He won major trophies last year and earned the respect of the entire Premier League and all the fans, and when a player is performing like that on the pitch, of course he’s happy where he is.

    > Then there are other factors that influence decisions, whether it’s salary, respect, or the way things are handled… There are so many things that we aren’t seeing at the moment – or at least I, as an agent, am not seeing – that suggest the club is not handling things in the best possible way with him.

I’m not seeing a “yes” here

All of these interviews feel like they’re trying to lower his price this summer and push for a move out

I fucking LOVE how much Enzo is burning this down , the lemmings in this sub think they’re the only ones allowed to criticise the club and when a player does it get their fucking panties in a twist

Then take him with you and leave the premises permanently, simple as. You’re blocking someone from claiming their own spot, thank you.

i think u know the situation is bad when i dont feel anything about this haha. So indifferent. They can do whatever they want and he can do whatever he wants. i just dont care haha

  13. I’m starting to have a feeling his agent is stirring shit up not on behalf of Enzo but just so that a move can be made for his own benefit.

Do agents typically get bonuses for negotiating to make a move happen?

  14. Some interesting bits in this:

“As Enzo’s contract still has six years to run, we decided not to renew it because the terms weren’t right for us or for the player; given what Enzo is capable of today, he deserves much more than he’s currently earning.”

“Our plan after the World Cup is to meet with Chelsea again and, if there is no agreement, to explore other options.”

  15. Bet for sure it was his agent that told him he should spend the international break to say these things, to indicate he was available, in case Real Madrid were interested after he hopefully had a good WC.
Agents are supposed to be their clients most trusted advisor and help them throughout their careers, but have evolved into some of the most destructive selfless leaches on the sport.

Doubt Enzo enjoys paying his agent for talking him into talking himself off the team two months before the World Cup.

  16. What you get for having no experienced leadership in the squad. Was always going to happen

  17. TIL Javier Pastore is now an agent. I thought he is still playing somewhere lol

  18. Just let him go. He’s all talk and busy work, his play lacks intelligence and creativity – the key things you need in his position.

2032 is so far away. Continue to be distruptive, works great for Lukaku the clown.

Enzo deserves to leave this shithole, he’s too good for our loss-making, failed hedge fund club

  21. “explore other options” – I hear our bomb squad is vacant, that’s an option for the cunt. let him talk to sterling before showing player power to these owners, they’re not fucking about.

  22. SeekersWorkAccount on

His agent says he intends to explore other options but the guy signed an 8 year contract, what do you expect?

  23. I still don’t understand the uproar. I’d want to live in Madrid too if I spent 4 years in London. I just don’t understand how his loyalty is so quickly called into question after all of the bs he’s put up with since he joined the club. The man has been through 7 managers…players only get one career and the club is wasting his and many others.

  24. Andrei_Chelsea on

The only time when he had to speak and this time he sent his agent, pathetic.

  25. Stealth_Howler on

The strategy is to say Enzo is too dumb to understand what he was doing and expects us to be too dumb to see through that.

  26. I don’t really understand why everyone’s so outraged about this. Enzo has shown time and again that he puts himself first and isn’t exactly someone you can rely on. The Benfica fans fucking hate him but a majority of our fanbase turned a blind eye because he’s proper Chels. Spoiler, he’s not. So it shouldn’t be a surprise that he’s now chasing another move to a bigger team. Hell, this is a dude who also left his wife and kids when he was entertaining whatever “better” scenario he’d dreamt up in his head.

The level of praise he has constantly received has always felt disproportionate to the calibre of player he is. He’s not an elite player, and there’s very little in his track record that suggests loyalty to anything beyond his own interests. However, with that said, he’ll most likely be here next season because there’s no way anyone is stumping up the 100m for him because… he’s just not that good.

  27. Yeah go bullshit someone else. Enzo didn’t mean to disrespect when he kept saying this shit like three time in one reak, and didn’t realise it will be taken that way? Okay lol.
