[Victor Wanyama] Today I announce my retirement from football. 4 different countries. 6 different clubs. A boy from Muthurwa with a big dream carrying a nation’s pride every time I stepped onto the pitch. I now take my next step into coaching where I will be completing my UEFA A License this year

  1. Still remember that rocket at Anfield, what a hit!

Great player who had rotten luck with injuries, could have been one of the best DM’s about.

    Enjoy your retirement Victor!

  2. Never forget that goal against Liverpool. Astonishing ! Mind you, that was the only shot he ever got on target.

  3. Seeing more and more players my age retiring is certainly a reality check on life lol

Lad was bloody brilliant and was a fundamental piece of the squad during the best years I’ve had supporting.

Hope he implements his love of spaghetti into his coaching well

I had a football career and it was very nice, I enjoyed it.

Good luck to Victor in his coaching career, hope to see him with us again at some point.

He looked physically done in 2018. Impressed he still managed like 4 seasons of games in the MLS.

This guy was a monster, its a shame about his injury issues towards the end of his time with us.

That season we bought him, he bossed the midfield.

What a beast he was in 16/17. And that Liverpool goal was one of the best goals I’ve ever seen.

I am not going to lie, as an American I read Victor Wembanyama and my heart was broken. But Victor WANYAMA for the Spurs out of North London had some needed appearances for our club, at a highly competitive time.

I’d say bring him back to coach at Spurs, but I don’t think his knees would survive a reunion with our club.
