There’s a segment in the video where Steven Gerrard was asked about how the Chelsea situation came about and how he almost joined our club. Loved this interview tbh, pretty great and in depth. Imagine if we had a midfield trio of Gerrard, Lampard, and Essien? Man that would have been an amazing sight to see growing up as Chelsea fan 💙.

We probably wouldn’t have got Essien had we got Gerrard.
Knowing Jose, he’d have found a way to make Lampard/Gerrard work, but once he left, we’d have had the same issues England did.
