  1. We investigated ourselves and determined to have done no wrong

    Piss off, stonewall penalty

  2. Well if that’s the correct decision, surely their penalty also was wrongly given and Maguire’s red card has to be rescinded? Right? Guys?

    >Two panellists said the action was “non-footballing and a penalty should have been awarded”.

At least two of the five have working sets of eyes. A two handed shove while making no attempt to play the ball is always a non-footballing action!

  4. The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command

  5. They took the easy way out, admitting that Twattwell (and Pawson on VAR) made yet another mistake after the last time he reffed Utd (v Burnley where they admitted he wrongly disallowed a goal which also coincidentally had Pawson on VAR) would’ve made their entire organisation look like the incompetent fools they really are.

It’s easier to brush it away for them now because nothing can be done about it, single-handedly costing us 4 vital points this season already and no punishment will be doled out. Arteta managed to get this cunt banned for 2 years from Arsenal games but they won’t extend the same benefits to us.

Shocker. But panel decision is irrelevant as it wouldn’t change anything.

Meanwhile Harry is issued further suspension for his reaction to red card

No surprise, now do the same for Bournemouths and see what you come up with

  8. Knew we wouldn’t get an apology or even an admission of error, that’s for other teams, we’re a free hit. You have to be Atwell not to see it.

    Utter bollocks

This and charging Maguire yesterday is just them closing rank

  10. The whole thing is rotten to the core, there’s so much corruption and incompetence going on with refereeing in this country. Some games in recent times have been virtually unwatchable due to how blatant some of this shit has been.

Embarrassing. This isn’t a VAR problem. It’s purely a problem that this silly boys club attitude referees have where they can’t admit when they are wrong unless it’s egregious.

Fans are losing faith in referees. It’s impacting grassroots football just as bad and PGMOL are making a farce of themselves here.

This is clearly not a “Man Utd” problem. You can go to any fanbase and everyone is complaining. The ref’s simply need to do better.

  12. Goes to show how strong the bias is. Curious what this is about. Panel wanting to protect the establishment or feelings being more important than rules?

  13. cracked review process, just the boys patting each other on the back. Get a third party to judge – maybe like a panel of 5 uninvolved managers or something. hardly unbiased I guess but still you’d hope that they are all interested in getting the decisions right over the course of the season. The current panel has too much of a conflict in backing the ref.

Nothing to see here. Just referees not wanting to call out their fellow referees. The same reason why VAR didn’t overturn it in the moment is the same reason they won’t admit it’s a penalty now. It would otherwise look bad for them to admit the referee made a mistaken in the moment. And saying that he did via a VAR decision makes the referee look incompetent which ironically he already does.

Jokers. They place a ridiculously high threshold on ‘material effect’. They’ve allowed the game to become wrestle-ball. Forget the effect or how the victim reacts. Just enforce the law, Law 12, which says pushing or holding is punishable. Clayton Blackmore – ‘You lay your hand on an opponent, it’s a foul. This is not Rugby’.

  16. If you want to know what it means when people say referees take the easy option by ruling against Man United, this is exactly what it means.

  17. LaughsAtOwnJoke on

VAR and PGMOL needs to be completely revamped. Its one thing for the ref to get it wrong in the moment but this is fucking absurd.

I’d at least respect them more if they could admit their error.

  18. Tsunami_Escalop on

This sentences from the article says it all: Like the VAR, the KMI Panel makes judgements on individual incidents rather than comparing similar situations in one game as a measure of consistency.

Don’t be fooled by the 2/5 votes in our favour, because those same people also said VAR was right NOT to intervene after Atwell made the wrong call. Just idiots supporting other idiots so no one has to be accountable for their mistakes.
