This is a dude who used to destroy teams 5-0 and be like “it’s so difficult, incredibly tough game, Huddersfield play so well defensively, incredibly hard to break them down”

I bet you could do a compilation of Pep glazing literally every single manager in the league for every season he has been in the league.
EDIT: Well maybe not Mourinho.

I cant think if there is a single prem manager Pep hasn’t glazed.
Still remember him saying he loved that Ange would evacuate the midfield duing build up.

What Pep said about RDZ 3 years ago has literally zero bearing on what is going to happen at Spurs. a) We are Spurs, breaking people is our schtick b) He is coming in to a team that is on its knees, zero confidence, belief or idea how to win, realistically how likely is it that he is going to turn things around right now?

Didn’t he also say Thomas Frank was going to be a top manager??

I mean tbf whatever your thoughts on De Zerbi, he’s right here. There is a clip of him detailing exactly why, and how Brighton are one of the best on the planet at building play from the back. With time this is an area we’ll become incredibly strong.
What makes me nervous is that a lot more teams sit back now and wait to counter, whereas when he was at Brighton all the teams across the league were pressing high.
At this point, he’s our manager and I can’t change that, so I am interested in how we’ll set and play under him. Curious how well he can adapt to the changes across the league

Klopp also highly praised De Zerbi since people won’t believe Pep’s words.
>”I told De Zerbi to keep turning the football world upside down,” Klopp told BBC Radio 5 Live when asked what he had said to the Italian.
>
“I will watch it from some distance. I respect so much what he’s doing.”
>”It is incredible what he has done,” added the German.
>”Brighton have lost Alexis Mac Allister and Moises Caicedo, they have lots of injuries, but he puts a team like that together. An incredible job.”

If Pep is praising your manager I think at this point it should be followed by a Ralph Wiggum “I’m in danger”

Also everyone adapted to his step up tactics and Brighton went on a losing spree after their great start which is why he’s no longer a manager there. Let’s hope he has more to offer than that.

Why do you take stock in an answer from a manager who plays head games?
Jesus Christ, I get turning over every stone for positivity, but be okay with the fact the board just played long odds and they’ll have made their beds with it.
RDZ is a poor judge of character and his footy isn’t so good for a lot of fans to overlook that fact. You don’t have to worry about others choices, only yours

When asked whether he was surprised Frank had not already landed a job at one of Europe’s elite clubs, Guardiola replied: “It is just a question of time. I am good in a few things, one of which is reading when the manager is good. It is going to happen.”

Pretty sure he also said this about Frank many times. In fact Frank did the double over him in the treble season

He said United were back when Ragnick took over and was massively complimentary towards ten Hag. This is a bad sign
