The coach has to be conte or allegri, but the foundations also need to be rebuilt. Italy has not had an elite attacking player since the members of the 2006 team. The Germans had a similar struggle in the early 2000’s. Albeit it was for a shorter period, but they made fundamental changes to remedy the problems. Italy hopefully will follow this model and be an amazing footballing nation again.

  2. I feel really sorry for him. He was the only respectable man, but he is not a good coach and needs to go as well.

However… Changing coach will literally mean nothing as long as Gravina and his goons are still there.

People always say Serie A is the place for the most elite level defending of all the European Leagues. How does that not translate to the national team

Fanboys were flexing that Lautaro having 14 goals in 25 games is proof that Serie A has World Class defending of the Top 5 Leagues. Also how Serie Defending is why Totti got 250 goals from 600 plus games.

Nothing will change until the whole Italian structure of player development changes. Until then Italy is a bottom feeder team.

  5. Gravina out, get someone who can rebuild the culture, and maybe in 2-3 years we have a team that is capable of qualifying for a world cup…
