Not familiar with this De Zerbi guy but 7 games is a pretty short run to make any real impact. New manager bounce might get them maybe 10-12 points if they’re lucky? Hard to say without knowing how bad things are right now with their current setup. Racing games taught me that sometimes a quick driver change mid-season can work wonders but football’s way more complicated than that lol

  2. remaining games :

    – away to Sunderland / 12th April
    – home vs Brighton / 18th April
    – away to Wolves / 25th April
    – away to Villa / 2nd May
    – home vs Leeds / 9th May
    – away to Chelsea / 17th May
    – home to Everton / 24th May

  3. This means nothing but De Zerbi took over a team during the season twice before:

First time it was at Brighton when he lost 3 and drew 2 in his first 5 games and the second one was at Benevento when he lost all of his first 5 games.

However at Shaktar, Sassuolo and Marseille, when he got appointed in Summer and had a preseason and a window to work he started well.

Overall it could be a very risky appointment if you only have 7 games to save your season.

  4. The team showed against Liverpool and Atletico that they can turn things around, but immediately afterward you see them get beaten by weaker teams. These players need someone to completely change their mindset.

😉😏🙄 /s He’ll turn them into world beaters. They’ll finish the season as the form team and send a signal of intent for next year.

I think it all comes down to the Sunderland game, if they can harness that new manager bounce and get 3 points that could be what they need. If they lose then I think they’re toast for good and should pray that west ham fall off harder

    Hopefully 0

Before this I wanted Spurs to go down for the schadenfreude

Now I want them to go down because I despise this rape-apologist prick.

(And those Spurs supporters who are campaigning against it, I’m sorry – for what little it’s worth you have my respect)

This isn’t the sort of appointment that gets you out of a relegation battle. Another system driven manager that has no clue on how to contest a premier league relegation battle. He could very well sent Spurs down. Wrong manager

    I think he’ll surprise us

If he keeps Spurs up his hardest battle will be keeping and buying players for the top ten

Seeing how Spurs capitulated against us when we scored I’m not sure how much difference he’ll make. Their players don’t seem at the moment to have much stomach for the fight – is another abrasive manage really what they need?

    15 I think this season.

Can see him being there long term so in total for Spurs? Dunno, maybe 550 ish
