As a rule of thumb, the oldest player needs to be the captain. Lewa should be, not Araujo.

Cause captaincy in Barcelona is voted by the squad.
Usually, players vote for players who have been around the longest, but not always the case.
Ultimately, despite my dislike of the situation, the players voted for Ter Stegen, Araujo and De Jong.
No bro. Joan is too early. Can’t give to Pedri also when Frenkie is still here. At least Raph was here before Yamal, Rashy and Rooney.
I’m pretty sure Barca decides captaincy within the players themselves, so nothing can really be done about that.

Captains – Araujo, F DJong, Pedri, Ter Stegen
2nd choice Captains – Raphinha, Gavi, Lewandowski.
3rd choice Captains : Ferran, Eric G, Casado.
Captain Bands are given as per Seniority. Longest serving players are 1st choice.
If theyre out for injury, then 2nd choice. 3rd Choice is the last one.
New joinees (less than 3 full years are not preferred).
Captaincy usually goes to someone with more seniority at the club, but in terms of energy and fight these three bring it every single game.
