Joao Felix on Chelsea: “I loved my time there. It’s a big club. But in the end I had to do what felt right for me. “The [World Cup] spot was on my mind [at Chelsea]. World Cups come around every four years and I wasn’t playing, but I still enjoyed my time at Chelsea.”

I love this guy. Unfortunately he didn’t get his chance at Chelsea but he could’ve been our direct Cole Palmer sub.

  2. Man i remember when he was still at Benfica and I really wanted him to choose Chelsea. Didn’t exactly turn out to be the Joao Felix we wanted but either way he was a hard worker for us

Do us a favour and try not to remind me that you ever played at Chels, João. Thanks, our kid.

  4. This guy appears to be a good lad. There was a lot of unwarranted media pressure on him mostly outside of UK. never seen him misbehaving on pitch or outside of it. Players are human beings and need to do what is the best for their careers and family after all. Sad things Joao never became what the football world thought he would be.

This guy genuinely seems to like Chelsea.
If he was happy to be a backup he could have been useful. But wants to be the hero and he’s not good enough for that

  6. One of the most disappointing players in recent memory… had tons of hype but never lived up to it

Seems like a good guy though

  7. You seem like a good lad Joao but you’re not displacing Marko Marin and Pato in my Chelsea wonderkid flop ranking

I think he was one of the most talented players we’ve had in recent times. Unfortunately he was just so incredibly patchy, if he was at 90 or 100% every game he’d be starting right now for us.

I can see why Atletico spent 100M on him, I wonder if he’s just a bit lazy or doesn’t have the drive.

  9. he is not our level, but the replacement like garnacho or liam delap is not convicing at all
