Rival fans are happy to slag him off every chance they get, but it’s worth noting that before his injury he scored the opening goal in two important away games (West Ham and Spurs). The guy has barely played this season yet he did the business multiple times when it was needed. A lack of a pre-season and a nasty injury both fucked his debut season, so hopefully it will be smooth sailing from here.

It’s not been great so far but we all know the quality is there, I really hope when Slot introduces him back into the fold we play a bit more direct and use him as a pure finisher

I signing that shouldn’t have happened. Way too expensive. Could’ve bought Mateta or someone.

That boy was rusty lol, his quality still absolutely is shown… cannot wait for him to be (hopefully) fully fit eventually

Jesus, they love to fly into tackles on him, don’t they?

3-5-2 with him and Ekitike up top or Ekitike playing off the left tucking in. Either way the LB/LWB provide most of the width on that side.
Regardless of who the manager is next season if we’re not seeing the above or some variation of it then it’s madness. These two need to play together, they have everything you’d want in a strike force.

God our season could have been so different if he had been around. Not just me right? So many close games?

Honestly there are more highlights here than I would have guessed from how little he played this season. Makes me optimistic that he’ll come good once healthy

He even somehow managed to get Cody to assist him 😅

If he’d been with us the majority of the season, how many points would we have recovered?
And in a similar vein, had we got Guehi, how many last minute goals do we not concede? With another proper pacy winger, how many more chances does Ekitike get?
Honestly, one or two more quality players in key positions of weakness this season, and I reckon we have enough points to sit 2nd. I think we need to acknowledge the degree to which we’ve been unfortunate as well.
