That’s basically accepting relegation, unhinged to even float the idea. I know Matt Law is basically T0 for us since Levy’s expulsion, but it’s so ridiculous that I have to doubt it. This has to be Matt throwing a quick punch in to farm engagement, surely.

  2. Surely if that was the case then Ben would be taking training sessions already, and not Bruno Saltor in the interim.

I’m beyond even having an opinion on who can fix this, just throw paint at the wall and hope for the best. Gentle Ben? Why not?

  4. Ben Davies to turn manager and keep us up. It’s actually something I thought about in the deranged times that were two months ago. It’s even more deranged, now, so why not?

This is pure speculation. Literally just a list of people who with a vague spurs connection who might be an option

    >Spurs may be forced into another short-term appointment until the end of the season, with the likes of Ben Davies, Harry Redknapp, Glenn Hoddle, Tim Sherwood and Chris Hughton all potential options. It is also believed checks have been made on Adi Hütter, the former Monaco coach, who is out of work, while Sean Dyche is available.

  6. He’s just thrown Ben Davies in there for shits and giggles lmao the full list is diabolical and complete guesswork

Ben has been a great servant, he cares and every interview he seems like an intelligent man. I think he has great potential.

I think Davies only has his A-licence not Pro, which means we would need special permission from the league for him to take charge.

  9. At first i thought it was for a potential return to the pitch, only to realize it’s for manager. lol

  10. Im not opposed to him being an assistant, even next year too.  But to appoint him as the guy is mental.

I am all for Ben Davies.

We had Ange bringing us ultra attacking mentality and morale.
We had Frank bringing us defensive structure and familiarity of EPL.
We had Tudor bringing us disciplines and expertise in fighting relegation.

They all failed. (Not all their own fault. The higher up must bear most responsibilities, but they still failed)

Let Ben Davies, who have been seeing all these with his own eyes for 2 years, and virtually been a furniture for Spurs who garner respect from everyone, players staff journalists or coaches, take control and fix the problems.

He may not be successful, but it is a bet I won’t regret.

No way could we have Adolf H***er, the ribbing would be unmerciful. Clipboard Tim, or Ryan Mason would be my choice.

  13. I’m curious how he’s gonna look. Can see him going for the classic “suit with club crest” outfit but I can also see him going for a simple smart-casual sweater.

Or he might just stand on the side in full kit and an ankle brace like a true icon

I’ve said it several times over the years that Davies is a guy that appears to have absorbed from and assimilated to all of the different managers, consistent performance no matter the system. Team guy, Tottenham through and through…

  15. He hasn’t completed his coaching badges yet, I don’t think this is possible from a legal standpoint. Same reason why Slot didn’t get his staff and Tudor didn’t get his assistant manager.

  16. How’s this possible though? Last I heard he has his U-18 coaching license but nothing that would allow him to coach the senior team

  17. Isn’t Matt Law rubbish? Why his posts even get this attention?

Complete guesswork which should not be posted here probably.

  18. the actual paragraph:

    > Spurs may be forced into another short-term appointment until the end of the season, **with the likes of Ben Davies, Harry Redknapp, Glenn Hoddle, Tim Sherwood and Chris Hughton all potential options**. It is also believed checks have been made on Adi Hütter, the former Monaco coach, who is out of work, while Sean Dyche is available.

that is primo “pulling shit out my arse” speculation
