At the end of the day James McFadden has a sort of grift to keep up – but not necessarily one that he’s sought out to achieve.
As damning an indictment as it is, we’ve elevated him to a near legendary Scotland player (goal against France was legendary).
But he’s a guy whose career peak after leaving as a promising Motherwell prospect was scoring like 6 goals in a season for Everton.

It’s this relentless positivity the bbc has been pushing whenever it comes to him – there are very genuine criticisms of him that no one seems to address. Was listening to the Scottish football podcast the other day and the host asked Tom English about what happens after the World Cup when the squad breaks up and your left with a ton of players with no caps or experience at this level his response ‘who cares’

Great player and tbf he’s a decent co commentator. Bit I want whatever he was smoking to think this was an okay performance.
