Nunez seems like a really nice guy and gave his all for us whenever he was out there on the pitch. But this blatant revisionism about his actual contribution to the footballing side of things whenever he’s mentioned here is getting weird now.
“We could really use him right now”.
Yes, what this side is crying out for is a forward that was perpetually offside, pressed like a headless chicken, couldn’t dribble and had very little aerial presence to speak of for a man of his size.
And that’s before we even get into the absolutely *woeful* finishing.
As I say, nice chap, absolutely not our level or he’d still be here, it’s as simple as that.
