To this day its my favourite game ever just because that day made me believe we were coming for trophies.

I just can't imagine Liverpool without Salah anymore. Man its really hitting me now, I thought I was prepared for this but man this hurts more than any other transfer in my life😥😥😥

  1. Will never forget this day for Robbo pressing like a maniac despite us being 3 up, cemented my love for him

I remember a twitter exchange before that went along the lines of. Ederson would walk into liverpools midfield. then someone replying. He tried it once, so salah chipped him

  3. One of the best days of my football watching, this and 5-1 against Arsenal in 2014 get stuck with me.

  4. Absolutely. I remember this game very specifically.. I fancied a draw not us thrashing them like we did. Went to a friends place and i was on my knees screaming in their house.. lol

  5. It’s not just because I’m a Liverpool fan. These matches were so, so, so much more entertaining than anything we have currently.

Football is so dull right now.

  6. We will win another CL. We will win the league again. We will never see Mo score on opening day again

  7. This goal is legendary in our house. My sons were 7 and 9 and although we’re not North American, that goal became known as ‘Salah from downtown’ and they tried that move every night.

To this day we still say it when we play football.

I remember leading up to this game City were still undefeated and on their way to 100 points. I just knew we’d be the ones to end that run.

It was also the game that made me think we could be a big challenger the following season. The CL games against them later that season confirmed my thoughts. The 3-0 at Anfield is to this day the best live atmosphere I’ve ever been part of. That first half was silly.

These players live on in our memories forever. Given my age, fowler was the first for me.. how do we go on after him?
Then someone fills their boots, bringing something different, new excitement… someone that’s already there maybe blossoms. We don’t know yet, but we need a positive outlook.

We don’t need the ‘next salah’, enjoy the memories of the one we had!

  10. Christ, night and day.

We’re needing raw, passionate, high-intensity sex. It’s as simple as that.

Like shagging a blow up doll atm.

  11. That year the team have an intensity to press and counter that i never saw again, was probably the most entertaining of the klopp era.

  12. Lmao funniest thing about this game is that I genuinely always feel like it ended 4-1…then only when thinking about it further I realise it was actually 4-3.
Everything after this goal is such a blur

As good a moment as it was. I hope as a fellow Red, your life hasn’t peaked yet. YNWA

  14. Keeper when the clearance fell to Salah:

“This is the one thing that we did not want to happen.”
