2027 buy back feels like Liverpool setting a reminder on future regret.

Can imagine this gets triggered that summer. Think it’s for €60m. He needed to go and play and he’s gonna have 2 seasons of football this way. VVD will be on his way out so this makes too much sense

Not a bad idea to bring him back in the summer

I don’t think he’s good enough for us.

Hopefully they for someone like murillo this summer and get this guy back using buy back then we have a good defence.

Let’s be real nobody here has watched him consistently enough this year to be saying he’s not good enough or we should buy him back.
Should be asking Leverkusen fans directly to see how he’s doing.

Haven’t watched nearly enough of him but according to the few Bundesliga podcasts I listen he has quickly become the defensive leader at B04. They have a very promising core of players and will be a team to watch in the future (maybe with another manager though)

He is probably good enough to be a rotation option for us with a ceiling that could possibly elevate to starting quality but another season developing in the Bundesliga will certainly help – if he is not signed by a PL club in the meantime.

Useful squad player which is what he was. I think the initial plan was sell him for 35m and buy Geuhi for 35-40m. No brainer but didn’t quite work out as we took too long to complete the transfer.

Realistically, he will come back only if the manager is someone else.

Considering we’re boned for CB options when you sum it up..
Virg – last year
Gomez – gone in summer
Konate – no new deal
Leoni – long term injury
Then yeah, we probably should buy him back even if he’s third choice long term, it just makes sense as we have no depth and it’d be an uncomplicated deal.

Has he said he wants to come back ?

Depends with who the next manager will be

Who knows if the lad even wants to return – he might be enjoying himself in Germany and if he continues his development he will have a lot more clubs to choose from.

We’ve just signed two young CBs with a high ceiling, doesn’t make sense to sign another. Wouldn’t be cheap, either.

I don’t think we need him. We already have two young centre back prospects and he’s not good enough to be a guaranteed starter. He doesn’t fit.

This ain’t Football Manager. He may or may not be good enough (despite recent form) but let’s not forget that Slot humiliated him early in his tenure. He probably won’t want to come back anyway and I won’t blame him.

Me in 2027: “babe, the buy-back clause for Quansah just dropped”

It’s a classic case of selling a solid squad player only to potentially need him back later.
