Reports about Hakimi wanting to return to Madrid have always been here, nothing new to be honest. And although I’d love to see another La Fabrica graduate in our first team, honestly right now with Trent here I don’t think it’s realistic. Not to even mention how difficult and expensive it would be to convince PSG to let him go.
Hakimi is a world class right back, he is one of the best at the moment. With all due respect, Carvajal is 34 years old now, whereas Trent lacks defensively. We saw how hard it was for him to play against Doku. So yeah, it would be awesome if Hakimi would come back to the best club in the world

He has a contract till 2029 and I don’t think we need ti buy him at all. Promote nessus fortea to the first team next years because he is a fucking beast and valdepenas as well for the lb. We need cb not fullback

There’s absolutely no sense in getting Hakimi if we have Trent. Carvajal may retire in the summer, and Jesus Fortea is supposed to be the next big thing. In meantime, Jimenez is 22 and can fill in when needed.
Don’t get me wrong, Hakimi is better than anyone I’ve mentioned above. But I feel getting him would disrupt the natural flow of things. And it would be pricey.
PSG would not negotiate with us even if we are talking with 100M on the table. Secondly, unless Trent shows desire of leaving, there is no point of having two RBs on fat wages.

Truth be told I don’t want him here, you can’t have two superstars players starting at the same position, this has been our biggest challenge with Mbappe, Vini, Rodrygo being all similar profiles, I don’t want this to happen at RB

It would be great. Trent is injury prone and Hakimi has played many times as left back.
Fran can play more in the middle if there are injuries. Carreras can play as central back if there are injuries.
Arbeloa is a manager who wants his players to move and change positions. Brahim as 9, or even Fede during the game. The RB and LB changing positions with the mids. So having Hakimi able to play left and right gives some extra versatility and protects the team agains injuries.

Hakimi was off the table as soon as he agreed his most recent extension with PSG. He’s an incredible player but we’re never spending what PSG would want for him when we have Trent and other areas of need.
Psg isn’t gonna sell us one of their most important players, we’ve been down that road before

Not worth it, same mistake as with Mbappe. We can’t afford to have two superstars on the same position (Trent and Hakimi), while having to improvise at the back and in the midfield.

I don’t know about Hakimi but we surely need someone in that position as a backup or equally talented as Trent ( Considering his injury history ). Hakimi would cost so much so RM won’t pay a huge loaf of money. Maybe Arbeloa would promote someone from the Academy? Jesus Fortea? Jimenez?
lol His contract expires in 2029 and PSG won’t sell him, but it’s very likely that he and Mbappe will be playing in Saudi Arabia in 2030.

Should have not signed that extension last year and maybe we could have made something happen last summer or could have passed on Trent and waited another year to sign you as a free agent this summer.

TBH I can see a world where hakimi and trent trade happens, especially with the hakimi issues with the france legal system and him wanting to link up with his best friend mbappe

I was going to say that what’s up with all these FIFA-FM signing threads, but a double RB of Hakimi and Trent wouldn’t even work in Football Manager. Unless you consistently played one of them not at RB, in which case you’d still need a backup RB.
The only scenario in which this works is if Trent is sold for big bucks to the EPL to make room (financial and otherwise) to Hakimi. Now, selling Trent is not an outrageous idea, but it’s the only way this works out.
Having a world-class player as a sub in case the other world-class player is unavailable is an asinine idea.
Has Trent ever played in the midfield? I keep seeing people suggest it and on paper it sounds fine but if hes never played in an area with less space than he has at RB it’s not viable. However I haven’t seen enough of Liverpool or England before his time with us
Hakimi will be great, but we have Trent at home. We need a RB that is 1. More defensive and 2. that is going to be the clear sub (like Coentrao in the Mou/ 1st Ancelotti era)
That wouldn’t be a smart move; it would be better to invest in another position.
