  1. Does this mean we don’t get a transfer fee from him? It seems as if Salah has negotiated being a free agent.

  2. One of my all time favourite players in the premier league, thank you for everything Mohamed Salah. YNWA ❤️

He has done so much to put this club where it belongs, I’ll forever be grateful to him.

  4. assuming this means we’re letting him leave on a free? absolute legend that deserves to go out on his own terms but a little surprised we’re not getting a fee for him considering it’s likely saudi

Framing is interesting. Assume it’s more of a gentlemen’s agreement to let Salah go to Saudi but imagine they still want to recoup some type of fee

  6. That sounds as if we’re letting him go as a free agent rather than selling him, which would be very odd business.

  7. I wonder if he’s buying himself out of his contract because he knows he’ll make stupid amounts when Saudi start throwing the GDP of small countries at him to sign

  8. It felt like he did a two year deal with the intention to play for one and then be sold to Saudi to make as much money for the club as possible so he left the right way. Well done Mo, did us proud.

There would be a lot of debates about many different things.

But I hope when everything is Said and done, we all will be grateful for having witnessed one of the very best players in world football at his peak for 8 seasons

For all those thinking this might be a free transfer — it doesn’t necessarily mean that.

Mane announced he would leave and we got 20m (?) from Bayern for him. This might just be the equivalent of being “transfer listed” in FIFA. Like we’re open for a reduced deal. Don’t think we’re going to get the mega-millions from Saudi like everyone expected.

Edit: My theory is up in smoke. Joyce confirmed it will be a free transfer.

Why should we care whether he’s leaving on a free or not. Man will forever be a legend.

Thank you for the memories King.

  12. Not even annoyed if we don’t get a fee who cares he owes us nothing whatsoever

Lfc legend, the🐐and the Egyptian 🤴

Wish him all the best for the future he will be sorely missed 😢 💔

How the time goes by . It makes me sad that Mo is living , it makes me actually cry that the time flew so fast by ….

It’s time, but it still hurts. One of the greatest in the club’s long and storied history. Hope he’s back for every legends match once he finally decides to retire.

  15. As predicted by most observers. It’s such a pity he’s likely to exit without a trophy or even playing well. Hopefully it’ll act as a boost though to try and see him off in some style.

Also the end of the greatest trident attack in the Prem era I think.

That this has been announced now might mean a deal/agreement has been done elsewhere? If so everyone has been incredibly discreet about it

What a player and servant he’s been for us. I’m not surprised its ended like this its just shame he couldn’t bow out like the player of last season.

Hope it galvanises the lads for a push at a trophy of some description. Be the most fitting end for him.

    Legend.

Everyone in this thread talking about business is bizarre, don’t know how your mind went there first

  19. It was about expected but it’s devastating, this man is a legend and is one of the greatest players I’ve ever seen.

    Egyptian King 👑

  20. We know it would it happen, but it still hits like a ton of bricks. It’s going to take some time to fully accept this. He leaves as a club legend, one of the very best we’ve ever had and the world has ever seen and I wish him the very best.

  21. Fun_Adhesiveness_371 on

The war in the Gulf could escalate anytime, so he won’t be heading to Saudi.

  22. Significant_Baker575 on

Ah man. I cannot help but feel that his decline has been exaggerated by a malaise across the squad. Not the way I wanted to see him go.😟

  23. CL4P-TP_TrapHOUSE on

This is the right thing to do. He deserves a heroes exit, and a fucking statue.

  24. Cannot even imagine what post Salah Liverpool looks like. Imagined him playing for us til he was 90 ffs

  25. People call him selfish sometimes, but in my opinion, he’s the most loyal Liverpool player I’ve ever seen. When he was at his best, he could have played for any club in the world, but he chose to stay with us. Most foreign players of his standard would have gone elsewhere if they weren’t winning the title almost every season.

  26. i swear football retirements/transfers hit harder than they should 😭 like you grow up watching someone every week and then one day it’s just… over, i remember telling myself “it’s just a player leaving” and then somehow still feeling weird about it for days after… like why am i this attached
