It’s time a guess what a run though turned himself into a PL and pool legend

The man is a true legend. He gave us the best years of his life and more. I and every other Liverpool fan will miss him. I hope he goes somewhere he can get regular playing time and enjoy his football again. A king such as him deserves that

  3. The greatest winger the premier league has ever seen.

Arguably the greatest player in the history of the premier league. Certainly top 3.

Comfortably the greatest African footballer in the entire history of the sport itself.

The word legend doesn’t really do him justice in terms of what he’s achieved.

I think it was guaranteed even after he signed his new deal. He gets a pay rise and for the club, he has a sell on value.

One of the finest to ever grace the Premier League. It was wonderful to see him play live on multiple occasions – even though he enjoyed playing against Brighton throughout that time.

  6. I wouldn’t say he was the best Liverpool player in the Premier league era, but he is certainly in the top one.

Absolute fucking legend. Will never forget the terror he brought my club

Up there as the greatest winger PL has ever seen . Sat in fear watching him play against Arsenal but enjoyed watching him play against everyone else. And to think he was let go and considered not suited to the PL in his first stint is absolutely ludicrous.

  9. Truly a PL great, glad it’s announced early so he can enjoy the runout properly.

  10. I got to see him play for about 10 minutes in person at west ham April 27th 2024 as an incognito Liverpool fan. I hoped I would get to see him in red at anfield. I’ll cherish those 10 minutes.

  11. His agent has played a masterstroke. Can’t imagine he’s leaving all that money on the table.

  12. Who could have guessed that Trent Alexander Arnold would pick the better year to leave the club over Salah?

Like at the end of spring? Did this mean he won’t ever be back or that he might be back during summer or autumn? Also how is this news? People leave Liverpool all the time.

  14. A joy to have had the pleasure of seeing this great player play for my club .. sad to see him go but understandable.. on a free? WTF

One of the maybe 5-10 players in the Premier League who when they’re on top form they’re pretty much unplayable. Can’t stand Liverpool but have to respect them and him for their achievements

  16. One of the PL’s best ever. I baulked at the fee the day they signed him. Convinced he’d be a bench player at best. He scored some unbelievable goals. Probably a good time for him to leave, before all the journo’s try and turn him into some sort of scapegoat.

My one season wonder goat. 👑

He was absolutely massive in putting this club on his back and taking us back to the top.

Will be gutted to see him go, but forever grateful for everything he’s done for the club.

Salah’s an absolutely ruthless striker and has been for a decade. A Premier League legend. A true great.

Is he in the top 10 all time Premier League players? Many would argue yes and I’m not going to vehemently disagree, however I myself would say he’s not.

Is he in the top 10 all time Premier League strikers? Yeah think so. I can think of other strikers I think are better but I’m not sure I can think of 9 other strikers.

What I will say is that he sits in that very rare bracket where he has absolutely lethal finishing and then paired with searing pace. The best finishers in the Premier League are probably Shearer, Aguero and Fowler, and I think Salah sits in their bracket. The dude is lethal.

I would say though, (and I say this as never having played a professional match in the Premier League so what do I know?), is that there are strikers out there who defenders used to absolutely dread playing against, and I’m not sure Salah was one of those. I think defenders often fancied their chances against Salah, whereas they don’t fancy their chances against Shearer, or Henry, or Rooney.

I’m not saying Salah didn’t destroy defenders, because he did, but maybe he lacked a little bit of fear factor. Rightly or wrongly, maybe he should have been fucking feared, but I’m not sure he was. Respected, yes. Specially planned for, yes. Feared, maybe not as much as he should have been.

  19. One of the very best, glad he’ll have a strong connection with the fans and the club. It could’ve been ugly.

  20. He’s going to be remembered as one of the most transformative and iconic players of this era.

The only bloke good enough to finally end Liverpool’s hilarious title slump.

…and as a United fan, I love him for the former and hate him for the latter!

Credit where it’s due, an all-time great of the game. Who’d have thought after that horrendous Chelsea stint!!!

  21. First player of ours in my lifetime who’s been at the very apex of the game and hasn’t even seemingly flirted with going anywhere else. I know that’s a small thing to some but after growing up and going through my 20s watching Owen, Torres, Suarez, Coutinho etc move on as soon as they got good he always made us feel like it was us over everyone.

The king isn’t a title thrown around lightly but I think even the original wouldn’t have any problem sharing the crown with a true all time great.

Brought everything to the club I could have dreamed of.

What a player. What a man.

  22. Absolute legend. Has to be up there as one of the greatest PL players of all time.

However, it was clear to see well over 12 months ago that giving a 33 year old Mo Salah a two year contract on 350k a week was madness. But i was constantly told I’m dumb and it was because he won the league so was on holiday blah blah blah. When it was clear to see from February the only way was down.

Must be up there for one of the best PL signings ever made, considering price longevity and output.
