  1. If there are any football experts watching this video. Please explain that Real Betis yellow card if you can. Because it could also have neen a booking for time wasting I am not sure.

  2. The referee disallowed the goal and issued a yellow card because once a player fakes the kick and moves past the ball, they are generally not allowed to return and kick it again. none of the opponents reacted to the corner, likely because they recognized the play as illegal.

  3. That is not a rule for corners as far i know the rules are once you touch it the opposing team can go for the ball he did not touch it and i think the player who took the corner cant just touch it and take the ball himself he must pass to another team mate this is the rule and the ball obviously has to be placed with in the arc, this player broke 0 rules he didnt touch it he just made a high iq play and the clown ref who probably loves arsenal and their new corner strat couldn't understand the play.. fire this clown..

  4. IIRC, on the Betis game, the ref blew the whistle while the corner was being taken. This is why no one reacted. The goal wasn't disallowed because the game had already been stopped

  5. The only rule to be applied here by the ref for an offense is "unsportsmanlike behavior." There are no rules saying you can't fake a corner, change stance, or go in/out of the pitch while taking it. The same rules apply to a free kick, just the spot is different. (A corner is a direct free kick, just with a precise pre-determined kicking spot.)

I'm very curious under what explanation the ref thought this was unsportsmanlike behavior. That is the only reason he could disallow it and give a yellow card.
