Used to get people constantly attack me for questioning why they supported xabi so much over a guy that won us two UCL’s lmaoooo. With every passing game the decision to sack xabi is proven correct, he showed nothing here and Arbeloa has shown more than him in a shorter time.

Even if we got trophyless this year Arbeloa 100% deserves to be our coach to start the year next season. Dude has been phenomenal and we all need to give him his flowers.

  3. Context matters a bit too. Mbappe been injured so Vini took on a more expanded role plus penalties. Trent was injured during Xabi’s time so Fede was forced to play RB, Trent has been healthy with Arbeloa, so Fede is back to his preferred position.

  4. Im very happy with the energy and passion the Castilla boys bring to our lineup. That was missing for sure

I think it’s got more to do with Mbappe’s presence on the pitch, these guys barely get freedom when he’s there,Although,I gotta mention Mbappe’s run today to free Vini was exceptional

  6. Well the Valverde stat is bullshit because he was playing at right back the whole time Xabi was there. If you’d have given Xabi the same time and the same players we wouldn’t have dropped points against Celta.

  7. If you are trying to say that Fede and Vini sold out the team while trying to get Xabi fired, yeah it seems like it.

  8. Another Xabi bashing. The man is gone and this sub still throw punches in the gut. Just drop this already.

  9. Arbeloa is doing a better job than Xabi Alonso. I know people will downvote me or criticize me.

Arbeloa has given A TON of minutes to our Castilla players.. look at Pitarch, we would never have found this hidden gem with Xabi.

Arbeloa also brought Vini’s and Valverde’s confidence back. I mean, imagine you’re Vini and suddenly a new manager comes and you’re being subbed every game at 50min to bring Fran Garcia as LW, wtf?

  10. I am not anti Xabi by any means and I am still salty about how the club handled it all. But I am very pleasantly surprised by Arbeloa so far and I am completely willing to give him a chance for next season. He’s shown a lot of quality.

Also: what a drip, that jacket looked so goddamn cool, if anyone knows the brand and model let me know

  11. When Mbappe doesn’t play, score is shared. That’s all. Also Vini took a lot of penalties.

  12. Most of those goals from Vini and Fede came after Mbappe was injured. Xabi was more rigid, but once Mbappe starts regularly, Vini and Fede’s goals will also dip

It’s because they aren’t system players, vini also struggled when he played under Zidane, but he unlocked his real potential as soon as carlo ancelotii came

  14. I wished xabi Alonso as manager worked out so bad man it’s sad how it turned out

  15. With xabi they didnt want to pit the minumum. Valverded was mad cause he didnt wabt to defend (everyone was injured, idk wtf else he could have done).. vini was and is still a fking diva (that should be sold) that didnt want to run and do basic team shit.

Arbeloa is lucky mbappe and jude are injured cause he isnt forced to play the big names, he can pit a sort of balanced team. He is quote mediocre and clearly just a yes man to florentino. Vini likes this type of couch that lets him be a shit head woth no consequences.

When Xabi was announced as Madrid’s coach, my Barça fan friend told me, ‘Now you can beat us on  big score.’ But honestly, it’s sad  we’ll keep struggling against well-structured teams, even if we replace Vini with Cr7 or Fede with  Modric.
Xabi made two mistakes: first, he believed the board would fully support him, and second, he didn’t pamper and constantly praise his players in press conferences.
Honestly, it’s crazy  it’s gotten to the point where player need to be praised and hyped up before and after every match just to feel comfortable

How is this interesting? Zero context, typical brain rot for idiot fans.

Also, everyone who is not an idiot knows that Arbeloa isn’t a long term solution. He is just padding the egos of players whom don’t deserve it.

How many does Mbappe have? You people cherry pick everything just to make someone look bad. I love how Arbeloa works and the team its finally good, but Xavi was the best by far, the players didn t want him, it was not his fault. Vini and Valverde were already world class before Xavi or Arbeloa, just not in a good period that time.

The fact is the team seems to play with much more fluidity and purpose than under Xabi.

The “lost” look isn’t really there. The team responded better under pressure and didn’t collapse like in the first derby under xabi.

  20. Alonso wanted more posesion and in turn playing opposition deep, but controlling tempo more. As well as fede playing rb due to injuries.

Arbeloa reverted back to opening up for more counters and long balls. Hence more space for vini and fede.

Best example of correlation ≠ causation. Literally half of our starting XI was different when we faced Ateltico with Xabi vs with Arbeloa.
