He is right but Ausilio says he is the one se we need to trust Ausilio.
Can’t really disagree with Pagliuca. This team is already mentally fragile, so adding the starting goalkeeper from relegation-bound Tottenham doesn’t exactly build a winning mentality.
If we’re going to rebuild for the next generation / phase, replacing an aging and struggling Sommer with a goalkeeper of Vicario’s calibre isn’t exactly a confident gesture. Rather, it looks like a stop-gap measure.
In fact, I’d say, we’ll probably struggle as much in matches with Vicario as we are with Sommer right now. It won’t be an upgrade in the goalkeeping department, that’s for sure.
Inter needs to freshen the scouting department. Buying players like Luis Henrique and Diouf will simply not cut it anymore. I do not blame solely Ausilio or Marotta for this as they have a clear direction from the owners, but you cannot raise the squad value by buying 25mln duds who in 1 season lose all value.
For me personally Vicario is not the right guy for Inter.
What I don’t understand I spending 25m for a gk like this. If it was 5m as an opportunity then maybe but for 25 let’s buy someone promising, not someone on the way out. We had chances to buy so many good gk over the years and we ended up spending for money to be left with nothing.
Ausilio needs to go
